Is this Ford Bronco the ultimate off-road camera car? I head to Flagstaff, Arizona to visit the new KC Hilites Headquarters, take a tour of their new facility and then get to instal the new (not yet released) Tital LED Light Bar. Then we head to the Cinders to test it out and get a close up look of the Ford Bronco with the camera crane in action. #fordbronco

Oopps! For the second time in 8 years, I’ve had to pull a video after it was launched. I watched and rewatched the previous version numerous times to ensure I didn’t show anything I wasn’t supposed to, but I overlooked two clips that one of you thankfully pointed out. I tried to correct it with KZbin’s blur tool, but that ended up messing up about 2 minutes of the video and didn’t even blur out the section I wanted. So here we go, video re-edited and uploaded. lol I thought I accidentally hit something while watching the video! I thought there was that one part where you could see the front of the Jeeps head on w/the lights on but who am I to criticize, was too into listening about that Bronco set-up, I love behind the scenes stuff and the fact that all that goes into that bronco and their amazing film equipment combined with talent and knowledge to utilize it just to get “the shot” that’s just very very cool! I had my first KCs in the early 80s. The bright yellow vinyl covers with black "KC" letters looked awesome and told everyone that you were a serious off-roader. 👍

Back in 1974 I had a Jeep CJ 5 and put a set of KC lights on it. They were 100,000 candle power it said. When I turned them on, it was like the sun glaring! Always liked KC lights.

Was just at the KC facility in Flagstaff this morning getting some warranty taken care of on my Pro 6. Nick was fantastic and provided all the parts I needed. Really impressed with KC's warranty. So glad I selected KC Lights to put on my JL. Then tonight I saw your video. Guess I better order some spare covers for my Gen 2 Pro 6 lights before they go out of production. Thanks for sharing.

We run a Gazelle T4 Overland edition, and have loved using it camping. We originally looked at the ShiftPod, but needed a bit larger area. We are also looking at the Overland.ish tents for a back up.

Great to see you getting invited to these opportunities Doc! From the hue of the hood shine 35:35 and breaks shown in the floating dust down the center of the beams, I'd guess the Gravity Titan is a mix of Baja Design LP4 and Linkable XL. Love the color temp shown in the head-on shots.

Being that most people would change out the suspension of both vehicles when setting up for touring I would imagine the difference between the two would be closer with a good aftermarket suspension system.

OK. The lights are nice and bright. Spotted that 1 clip showing the fronts of the vehicles. But I won't say anything! Noticed the new mounting for the lightbar. It looks like it goes down the whole pilar, rather than just beside the lights like the old one. Can't wait to see more lights in action! And that set up on the Bronco is way cool! I'll bet he gets some really decent shots!

That was a great video learning about the camera crew, very interesting! One thing I noticed about the new light bar is that some of the wiring wasn’t completely covered. Just an observation. I’ve the Flex era 4’s and love them.

Great video. Love my KC’s and can’t wait to learn about the new lights. I also have a Shiftpod, love it as well, but I to have broke the ceiling poles a few times. Just wanted to let you know that I think it happens when you’re folding it up and putting the Velcro straps around it. The last one that broke I heard a very faint noise when doing that and it turned out one was broken. I’ve learned to strap it a lot looser now and I’ve been ok. Still sucks that it happens on such an expensive tent though.

The deutsch connectors are an excellent choice for connectors on the new lights, but I would really like to see the gortex vent patches go and in their place a Nitto vent cap or something similar. The gortex vent patches clog quickly with dust and a little bit of moisture, and I've never seen one stay fully attached the life of the lamp (headlamp, off-road, or auxiliary lamp). I'm not saying they have to use Nitto caps specifically, they could even design their own like many light OEM's have.

That Bronco Is Freakin Nuts ! I totally get where you are going with that setup though. Is the Bronco setup going to be a regular filming vehicle for your @TrailRecon channel? Did you ever see a John Wayne movie called Daktari ?

You should find a dowel or rod that fits inside the shift pod pole and sweep it in the tent as a quick trail fix. You should have removed the stake rope tie down to make it fit better.

WOW Brad, always great to see a new video. I just want to add the fellow with the diesel heater, great set up, except he will have nothing but problems because the exhaust has way too many bends thats going to cause too much backpressure and overheating the unit

Thanks for the tour Brad. I’ve wanted to ask why the lights are mounted so low on the windshield? I know clearance is desirable. But being a tall person with the lower interior height a Jeep has, I would think those lights block your view out the windshield. I look forward to your Gladiator project to see how the thinner bar looks and functions.
