My thoughts are that I can't think straigh and I'm overjoyed of this announcement, I was thinking of not watching this direct because that was really rare for me to find something interesting in nintendo direct but thanks god I did watched it ! And the combat will be similar to kuro but only the turn per turn side of it from what I can see (surely because of story purpose, kuro fighting style is possible because of their new orbments, orbments that does not exist in sky.)

It might be pure speculation, but some folk on twitter claimed it was due to Falcon unable to submit a fully localized English trailer before the direct deadline.

​@zeldark yeah they definitely could have pieced together more than 10 secs, the falcolm YT channel has like 3 minute videos that cut have been cut and pasted with just the combat for more than 10 secs.

Falcom dropped a nuke out of NOWHERE, no mentions elsewhere and they just released this teaser in Nintendo Direct. I got chills all over when I saw it, I was so surprised and thrilled!

Both the English and Japanese direct say it's coming in 2025, so either it'll be the first Trails simulataneous release or it comes out the beginning of the year in Japan and at the end of it in the West.

I love how when I first heard about trails on switch I was like "oh nice a switch port" only to hear NO.... it's a 3d remake. I am so excited... mostly because in the next game Kevin will show up... but yeah the art style looks so good and I am just excited to see how many they do like this (like why not the crossbell duo as well? lets have fun with it!) but yeah sounds like it was a direct jam packed with a bunch of fun games!

I know it's only announced for Switch right now but I hope it gets a PS5 release. Odd they did Graces F before Xillia dualogy or Abyss but I'm fine with it. Will be getting Trails in the Sky, Tales of Graces F, and Suikoden haha

I am very excited and it's my most wanted game for next year. As for the gameplay from the very little they showed it does look like a sort of fusion of the old style with day breaks style. There isn't a action part and the turn order from old games is back but you can walk around for positioning attacks freely like in daybreak. And the amount of arts makes me think they are using the sky orbment system (which makes sense lore wise)

That cliffhanger at the end got me hooked into trails (played every game) The game I was like "Well that was fun, not great but I had a good time" The cliffhanger "WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!? WHAT HAPPENS NEXT!? I MUST PLAY ALL GAMES!" XD

Remake all 3 please lol the sky trilogy are the only trail games I haven’t played yet. Played cold steel 1-4, the epilogue game, daybreak and just played through the two crossbell games recently.

I remember first playing it when it launched on PSP - 5-6 hours - putting it away and planning to come back to it wheh i have more time... I was on college then but I have a job and I'm married now and I was never able to come back to this game. Feels so weird like so much life's passed since it first came out that we're getting a remake... I'll definitely buy it on PS5!

Quick correction Sora no Kiseki,started the Kiseki sub series not The Legend of Heroes series. Which is much older being a spin off of the Dragon Slayer series.

I started playing Trails in the Sky last year but dropped it about 10 hours in. I have a little toddler and it was just too slow for me at that time. I actually started playing it again this weekend. I’m not really sure what to do now. Keep playing or wait for the remake.

I would wait for the remake, the trails series is my favorite ever, i played every one of the 12 games, but sky fc is by far the slowest and weakest game in the series, not saying the worst because the series doesn't have a single bad game, but you fuse sky fc, sc and the 3rd chapter together, That's it, a masterpiece that just some jrpgs can surpass, there's not even a single triple aaa that can surpass the sky trilogy together, let's not even talk about the whole series together, so yeah knowing this, That's your choice, but if i have not played sky yet, and not started the trails series, i would wait for the remake

Oh let me just say this, the remake will have graphics, and quality of life improvements, but the story will still be slow, so yeah if they where to rush the story, this game would fuse sky 1,2 and 3 in one single game, cutting a lot of content, since the remake is for the first game only, it will be slow, if you're not feeling, the main characters, the world building, the real life unique npcs, i recommend starting with another game in the series

I think when I was playing last year, I had it on the go as a side game on PSP and I think it needs more attention than that to be making reasonable progress. I only get a few hours a week to play, usually in 20-30 minute bursts.

I think they will remake Sky 2 and 3, I for one can't wait for this. So many great games that came out from the Direct, such as Atelier Yumia, Tales of Graces F Remastered, Suikoden, additional information on Dragon Quest III remake. JRPG fans are eating hard for end of 2024 and the start of 2025. I definitely am getting Atelier Yumia for Switch, I don't mind the gameplay performance from other games they play fine for me. But Trails in the Sky Remake is for sure on Steam since I have all the Cold Steel and Crossbell games there and I'm hoping to buy Reverie and Daybreak eventually when I finish everything.

Trails in the Sky FC remade... AGAIN! Tales of Graces remastered... AGAIN! These news put FC Evo and Graces f PS3 in an awkward position. They were exclusives to out-of-production hardwares. Falcom and Bandai Namco better not repeat past mistakes again and put these versions on PC (a platform whose hardwares never go out-of-production) or we will be here again when the Switch goes out-of-production... which is very soon.

My hopes for the sky remakes are 1.) include fast travel in FC and SC, 2.) Give us detection quartz and maps when you're in a dungeon, and 3.) Hopefully if they make the 3rd, don't censor the game even if it takes it being M rated for it to be uncensored, please don't censor it especially star door 15! 🙏🏾

While detect wasn't in the original FC game just the quartz that showed the encounters on the world map (Eagle Vision quartz) was but yes Detect really needs to be in the 3 sky games for its remake. Yes fast travel is a MUST especially in Chapter 8 of SC.

FC & SC don’t have fast travel since that feature is tied to the progression of the in universe technology. It’s cumbersome but narratively makes sense for the journey since Estelle and Joshua are training by traversing across the Kingdom by foot.

I just completed TiTS FC on my Steam Deck OLED on July 10! All achievements! 90fps for 8h+ playtime While I'm very disappointed by the visuals, I honestly look forward to playing this again lol. Probably not at 90fps tho I gotta get into SC before they release that remake, but they're so overpriced on Steam smh
