I spent two years running the Selkirk diesel shop. Wild time. Wouldn't do it again .

Awesome catch RC, I'm new to your channel and the clarity of your videos is SUPERB! I've always wondered what the SELKIRK yard looked like and thanks for making this video! Once again thanks for sharing this video and I'm viewing this from Delmar, Delaware. Btw, I wanted to ask a question. If you're back at this yard again doing pics and videos could you send me one of CP? Reason I ask is because I'm a disabled Delawarian and don't get out much due to my hereditary nerve disease. I'm creating a railroad room in our new home and I've had a few other KZbinrs send me pics to add to my room. The pics I've already received have been framed and hung in there. TIA if you can help out!

Thanks Shawn, glad you enjoyed the video and I need to get back out as I haven't been back trackside almost since that time with lots else going on but will eventually. I wish some of my older videos not uploaded with clearer and do have others in the of more recent to tackle at some point, lol. It's getting harder to just take videos like the one you commented on as they see someone with video equipment and get spooked. Take care and thanks for the comment Rich.

R Clark, what Frequencys were you listening to on your scanner??
@handsthatcreate5 жыл бұрын
E Roberts, sorry for the delay but here is a link to them and I sometimes lock out some if the chatter is too much. Hope this helps as I like to put some of the scanner action in my videos. members.localnet.com/~docsteve/railroad/se_ra_in.htm

Question Men Is the Selkirk Hump Yard still in service
@handsthatcreate5 жыл бұрын
Yes unless it has been stopped in the last few months. Always has had work every time I've been there.

Great video...do they do yard tours there? I read online the rr police dont want people filming.
@handsthatcreate3 жыл бұрын
Hi Jim, no tours there but as you can see that is the RR police "making time" coming at me in the dust cloud, lol. Unfortunately the RR police are sometimes edgy as a result of poor decisions of others in the past but I was on a public overpass just enjoying the action. Luckily for me I was done filming and didn't have to deal with him this time and glad you liked the video, Rich.

Did the RR police say anything to you? He was very abusive to the vehicle he was driving.
@handsthatcreate6 жыл бұрын
T.J., he didn't say anything to me as he seemed to cool his jets as he get a better look at the fact I was just a railfan but yes he was driving like "Dukes of Hazard" lol. I've had local police and other law enforcement tell me to leave certain bridges with good views before even though I was in a safe zone as here I was on the inside part of the barrier where many others do the same.

Yeah. That driver was driving like Mad Max. I was sure he was going to kick your butt.
