JT and the Milwaukee Fox 6 sports reporter were broadcasting from Covington on the same day. One with great rail action the other with the upcoming Packers Bengals game. First train 3 SD40s get it rolling with the 1st few cars nice and new. Its been awhile but the scrap hauling fleet was out in force whether new or used. Train 2 had those long haul RTAX going back to Canada 4 more aluminum ingots and just before the DPU the 3 former Conrail boxcars. Well JT the Fox cameraman got a nice overview of the Cincinnati skyline but you got us the rail line. Go Pack!

Thank you for going back to Covington, Kentucky on 10 August 2023 to catch these two trains, Jaw Tooth! I was nice to see that 86-foot auto parts boxcar with the Chessie the Cat logo still on it. I enjoy seeing those 86-foot auto parts boxcars with the Chessie the Cat Logos. The Chessie the Cat logo is a logo that I think that CSX should start to use again. The M510 train with the additional cars that were caught behind the derailed train of a few days earlier was a long train.

Their 'bookin' it speed' was kinda for slow readers, Señor Jaws. Was that because of the previous accident and not knowing who or what caused it? I had 'a need for speed' this morning. While I am being picky, the first 8 on number 8138, built in 1981 for Seaboard Coast Line (redundant) is stenciled downsideup. More important, there is still a dip at the switch where the derailment occurred, and so they will get more until they fix that.
@throttlebottle5906 Жыл бұрын
in my opinion, it derailed from over zealous power application, a string of empties at the head, while too much braking still applied down track, switches, tight radius and grade change, they flat out pulled the empties over vs around the turn with the rest. now maybe an upstream error in making the consist, with bad placement of cars, lack of downstream power or it went offline. I'm sure they've figured out the actual failures by now.

Tennessee ( more specifically West Tennessee in certain portions ), rarely gets CSX trains or Norfolk Southern at all. Once in a blue moon there may be a CSX, BNSF, Union Pacific, or Norfolk Southern, or heck, even rarer, a Kansas City Southern ( though that's more common than CSX and Norfolk Southern actually ), or even better, a rare GT Train will come through my town, even better, I've seen a working Illinois Central Locomotive come through my town roughly 6 times and it's glorious to see a locomotive like that in action, though by now, it'd likely been scrapped for parts, reuse, recycling, etc. What's the rarest train you've seen in a place you'd deem that it wouldn't likely belong?

Cool how those railfanning camera's are mounted on the wall of the buildings, seems like the locals don't like strangers on their disused bridge. Sounds like a nursery rhyme story about who crosses the bridge. Pity Chessie slipped around the gate harassing your horse 🐎 Hope the other dogs know better 😮
