Listen To This Train Working Up The Big Hill! We See A Train Go Under A Bridge With The DPU Working Hard. Norfolk Southern Trains At The Steepest & Curviest Part Of The Hill. 6 trains are going up and down the hill. These trains are in Crescent Springs, Kentucky on the NS Rat Hole Line. This line is owned by Cincinnati and leased to NS for about 25 million a year.
Trains are seen passing through the S curves near the top of the grade and I filmed one train with a DPU going under me while I was on the pedestrian bridge over the tracks. We also see the small free library next to the tracks. The tracks were busy on the day that I was here and twice when I was leaving a train came. The last train I was in my truck and just getting ready to back out when a local switching train came down the hill. I heard them talking on the scanner on 160.950 just a mile or so north of me working a customer. I was able to just barely get out and film it before it passed. These trains are on the hill that comes up from the Ohio River and crests at Elsmere. Pusher locomotives cut off at Elsmere and return down the hill light. I have some videos of them doing that.

We can notice that the Union Pacific locomotives have changed their look. The flag has a new location. Although the Union Pacific crest remains on the nose of the locomotive, the wings around it have been removed to allow the crest to occupy more space. The new design is gradually being implemented, as the locomotives are overhauled, by Jenks' shops in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

The trash under the overpass is sad. If Kentucky had a deposit law, it would take care of most of that mess. My home state of Iowa has a 5 cent deposit on all aluminum, glass and plastic drink containers and that kind of mess is rarely seen. There are people who still throw them on the land, but others who are looking to make some money will pick them up and turn them in for cash. It has worked well. Your neighboring state of Michigan has a 10 cent deposit law, for example.

I noticed something unusual. Most of the time on wood ties they will spike them down on the fishplates. Those were the pratzel type. Most of the time they use those on concrete ties. I think the reason this time was the sharp curves to keep from going out of gauge. You can sure tell that the cat really loves you by the way she was purring and acting. That is special! I have had cats in the past. And you got a good one. Plus she gets along with the dogs. The reason that works is because you got the cat as a kitten and they grew up together. Have not seen the duck in awhile. Steven Sipes

Regarding the shorts. I watch them, usually, and they are great, but...I don't have cable tv and KZbin is my "go to" entertainment. Your channel is on the top of my list. That being said, when I sit down to watch videos, I don't enjoy continually clicking on them every minute to see content. I would rather click on a video and have it run for a while so I can just relax and enjoy. This video, btw, was great. I love how the shadows of the tree limbs went across the 2nd train as it passed under the trestle. It had almost a psychedelic affect. You have a fantastic talent for getting some awesome shots!!

Great good made video, mr Jaw Tooth. The trains hill up and you smell dust it could be steel from the wheels of the locomotives and steel from the top of the rails. Wheels of the locomotives slipping on the top of the rails. Using sand and the slip of the wheels is over for 90%.. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands 🇾🇪🇺🇸

Excellent timing on your visit especially picking up six trains. The first train was working the hardest and if you look at the covered Hopper just ahead of the green BNSF you'll see the statement Winter is a Disease. Obviously they have spent considerable time in the plains and Midwest with most averaging one day of sunshine 3 weeks. Second train was the hill Hustler while the downhill had 2 of the captive IC\ICG. Flats going back for aluminum ingots. Those brown NS open.top coil cars look like container well cars from the outside. Train 4 as it went uphill had at least 1 AOKX covered Hopper leaking Frac sand from the bottom. Its also possible the not so gently used SOO or Klemme Grain cars had dust coming out the discharge gates The latter two pretty common but also shows off the new NS coil cars both in Gray and black. Plus the local sneaking home that's the jackpot. Norfie the Bengals cheerleader enjoyed Media Day You warmed us up with the sunny 🎥 so time for a cocoa break! Thanks
