Oh my dang Justin! Former Heavy Equipment Truck Operator and driver and EMT here from the lower end of the upstate New York area . Dang I’ve experienced this exact same situation and to the best of my knowledge from my experience the blue sign has a phone number that immediately sends out railroad technicians to move those train cars immediately. That’s a fact because especially when it involves an emergency situation going on. Unless the train has a catastrophic failure within itself. Thoughts and Prayers Justin!

The way the train was going back and forth indicates they were switching to pick up and/or drop cars. In Ohio, the law is 20 minutes. I worked for Conrail maintenance. Theyre supposed to get fined for it.

The number that's on that little blue sign is to report a problem, & when you call & tell them you're unhooking the train cars so you can get where you're going, It usually doesn't take long before the Railroad police show up, & then radio for them to move the train..😁

I grew up hating trains. We had a crossing over the only way in/out of the area we lived.... and it was also considered a flood plain. So many issues waiting for trains.. though the locals had an ordinance about them blocking the rails for more than an hour... not that it matters much.
@jonluft98426 ай бұрын
I’m in the Railroad Industry at CSX. They were either building a train or putting a train away into the yard. This rail is most likely the switching lead for the yard that is deeper down the tracks to your right.

Place I work outta is in a industrial area and there's a track running through it. Norfolk Southern. Yeah, they're allowed to block them for a half hour in PA. We've had a few derailments that closed it for the day. And once a pedestrian was hit and killed. Another time a car got clipped half a mile down, everyone was okay, but closed the track most of the day. Actually? One of my co-workers played let's beat the train before I came to work there and lost. Has a great story and lucky to have his job. Yup, ""Trains""!!! Lol. The unfortunate thing is there's another way in and out of the industrial park that is verboten to big trucks. Don't get caught! $700.00 fine. Happiness on the road!

Most truck drivers, unlike you, aren't talking/recording and can get hypnotized by the stripes, etc. I drove at night and always tried to use all the tools to keep it between the lines. That's what me and Jesse and Gigi and my grandma and Daisy did this afternoon went swimming. Jesse would dive in off the diving board and swim all the way under the water and swim. And Grandma and Gigi tried to reach him when he grabs there feet. The boy next to Katie Jesse eat's those all the time Butterfinger and Cookie's and Cream. This ain't no lie one time Jesse found a lottery ticket on the ground. It was already scratched and he was like gonna see if it's a winner. I was like I gotta see this. He approaches the cashier's and said is this a winner. They scanned it and there eyes got really really big. And one said you just won 5 grand and I was like do what. Jesse was like Oh Hell Yeah. They handed Jesse the cash. And then he hands it to me. My grandma was like that's amazing and looks at Jesse and said something (Can't Remember) Jesse was like oh yeah he pulls out $$$$$$$$$ from his pant pocket and i was like that's allot. Misty (Daughter) was like how much is that there. Jesse said how much it was and he was going to the bank to deposit it in the business account. We always request to take cash payments on certain deliveries. I believe that was one of the load's that Tim Gentry lost. He was hauling a huge pontoon house boat (Thank God No Permit's) yeah when I was going to wake up Jesse Gigi our elderly neighbor who's a dear good friend of our's and ine if my grandma's best friend's was cuddled up to Jesse who was like huh quickly turns around and she was like hey you. Jesse was like come here and hugged her. Daisy was like that's a Kodak moment snapped a picture. Next thing Daisy's getting on the bed cuddled up with Jesse grandma was like where's Daisy and Gigi and I pointed to the bed and she climbs in with them. Kid's took Pic's and Jesse and Gigi and Daisy said don't post that on FB and they didn't. We hate it when we get a train crossing and we are like please don't stop. Sure enough they do to disconnect the car's and they switching them around and they can get the crossing sections cleared. It was 101 today when we was swimming. We was in the shade and it's not that hot there. Cause they have fans.
