The valley of the Neretva river looks so beautiful - Whenever I see waters of this vibrant blue color it makes me want do jump in and have a swim... I'm so glad the scars of wartime have been dealt with, at least in this video nothing of that kind caught my eye... Thank you for taking us on this ride !

Did this way back in 2009 before the Talgo sets. It is very scenic. Unfortunately for anyone looking to do this after watching this video, this route is currently suspended until further notice due to a lot of damage from a heavy rainstorm at the start of October ☹ (Note he rode this train in May)

This is great scenic ride, really enjoyable. Right now the line is out of service for probably next two months because big floods destroyed the tracks some 30 km north of Mostar.

A real "Brutalist" railway station I encountered in that part of Europe, was the one at Banja Luka, the largest city of the Bosnian Serb Republic in 2008. It was a steel and concrete dystopian barn like structure, which replaced an earlier, beautiful Hapsburg era building, which in 2008 was the city's municipal art gallery. I had arrived by train from Zagreb.

I'm surprised Mostar's train station is such a dump. It's clean but not much else to say for it. Sarajevo's is surprisingly empty. Do people just not use trains there?
@dannyboy-vtc5741Ай бұрын
Yeah not much unfortunatelly, they have just few lines left that are operational due to poor maintenence and lack of funds. But what is really astounding yes, sarajevo, i've seen some other railfan's footage, the sarajevo station is empty, i mean i get the counutry is not well connected any more, that's one thing, not the only country in the balkans, but basically no local, suburban and regional trains around the capital city is whole another level.
