Ive been following Brian ever since Alan Thrall mentioned him in a video nearly a decade ago. To see him laugh about a sickness that would cripple most men to write their will’s just keeps me going, not to mention the constant seeming injuries. That said, vulnerable Brian is a new sight and i really appreciate it. I need to work on things myself so its nice to see him in a new light, as human.

I don't know if you're wanting to do a video on it, because it is so personal, but I would personally love a video on your journey on dealing with your anger. It's something I deal with also, and I would love to get another perspective on how to handle it.

"...you realize how bad you suck and you feel bad about yourself." I get that angry motivation when I miss a lift or see my form breaking down. Haven't tried Barefoot brand, but I love barefoot style shoes! Glad to hear your bite/fever is heading the right direction.

I love these training recap videos. I primarily love the training clips since you are significantly stronger than I will probably ever be, but I also love the humility and self-reflection. Feels more like a conversation with the audience and adds a level of sincerity to your videos.

I did the same thing yesterday on my deadlifts. Was annoyed beyond believe especially since it was maxes. Ended up just calming down and hit 505 for a last single. Then came to try realization that i skipped two warm up sets that would have let me gauge what i could actually pull, going to give my self 3 months before i re test my deadlift gonna make sure I keep track of the workout this time around.

Don’t know if you have ever tried mindfulness or meditation for anger but it’s really helpful for me. Be aware that you can’t control your emotions you can control your response to them. Every emotion lasts about 60-90 seconds so if you can pause when you feel angry before reacting it can help.

Great video, as always. I’ve personally been dealing with a wrist/forearm injury recently. I like how you talk us through what you do to recover your shoulder. It reminds me to keep working on it. At first my wrist couldn’t move at all, that sucked for everything. But i’m finally able to do everything, though some things still hurt a little.

That's a gnarly spot to get that kind of infection too. Big yikes! Glad it's improving. As for the shoulder press, that's a "lying" or "prone" shoulder press, and they are MUCH harder than they might appear. Question for you on the off-set carry. Are you able to fully extend and lock out the overhead arm?

Jeff cavalier of Athlean-x does those over head presses while lying belly on the ground trying to keep the weight at or above head level making 10lbs feel extremely heavy. He was also the physical therapist for the New York Mets baseball team and has many corrective or alternative exercises.

If that was really the effect of a spider bite, I´m really glad I don´t have any of those spiders here in west germany. Also, getting frustrated and angry about missing a lift is super relatable. Especially if you work up to a peaking phase and you´re still stuck at the same weights.
