Anybody who say Nigerians are bad people, will need to watch this video and rethink his thoughts. after watching this video i realized how truly amazing and happy our people are despite all the hardship we are going through. Our people are truly something special. Damn!

Rather ironic and bittersweet that your best moment was during the praise and worship session... even as the bright lights of the oil refinery loomed in the distance - the juxtaposition of the enormous wealth created by those refineries that benefit a powerful minority with the pitch black darkness in the train packed with the struggling masses being briefly illuminated by the lights from said refinery tells its own story. You say suffering and smiling, I say, praying and suffering. Not a good combination if you ask me.

my anger is with the governor....must they wait for the federal government...and cant all the eastern governors come together and execute a rail project that connects the 5 eastern states?...if Lagos can have such project going on...and the governor of Lagos state just got new trains...then it is possible...we just don't mean well for ourselves in the east...look at how industrious the people are...without any help from the government...hhmmmmmmm...thank you bros for this eye opening coz i also thought the rail system was long dead...

Unfortunately the governors we have now are so selfish and visionless. As industrious as Aba is, there no good infrastructure to support what they do there. Talk less of government grants or loan.

The internally generated revenue of Aba if accounted for will transform Aba. Lagos is been transformed with its internal revenue,why can't be done in Aba. The south east governor's are bunch of brainless individuals that have nothing to offer the people.

I am in full support of your observation and your suggestion. The state governors are just there to enjoy, embezzle money and when their time is over run for the Senate sit. People should be blaming them for being inept instead of putting everything on the federal government.

Boy , I felt a pang of repentance due to the fact that I don't thank God enough for all the blessings that he pours over me. Because I'm watching this wishing like anything that I could be there among you all , singing, laughing, and together getting through this inconvenient, optive word is "Together". One thing I tell people who say that we in the USA is soo rich is that " You aren't seeing the huge absence of any social compassion or sense of togetherness. No one cares about the welfare of their own family members, let alone for their neighbor. It's a deeply self- seeking , lonely country governed by an even worse selfish entitled overseer. The colder you are , the cooler. All B.S. When I travel , I've stopped telling people that I'm American , it's embarrassing.😐

He was one of this countries biggest embarrassments , EVER.🤨 A real Wacko. If I vwas at that rally that day, I would have immediately thrown up my hand and said " Can I get that in writing"?, Cus I'm absolutely ready to go!.😉

There is no change here. Riding the train from Aba to Enugu in 1984 was a chaotic experience to my young mind, I was barely 6 years then. Nothing really changed, the hawking of wares in the coaches, the filt and litter everywhere, overloaded coaches and the list goes on. We have not improved but retrogressed on the Eastern Railway line. A journey of around 50km taking more than 4hrs is a no no.

O Lord. I love train rides but this one definitely reminds me of my flight to Nigeria with Turkish Airlines. Never again it felt like I was in a market place. I don't know why my igbo brothers and sisters have to be the way they are but I was ashamed for my people. Loud, disrespectful, arguing and the toilet was a hot mess. Never saw a plane toilet like that. The roads in aba are definitely bad. I went to the market. The tickets are affordable though. The way people in Nigeria attack you for filming is unbelievable. There is an eastern rail way modernization ongoing as we speak from Maiduguri - port Harcourt, is just that it takes a lot of time to build to finish. The blame should goes to the previous government ranging from the Obasanjo regime for not investing in any critical infrastructure from 99 till Yara'duas era.

I used to be like that preacher - preaching to strangers on busses in Nigeria about 36 years ago (as a young man); It was the best experience ever! Your post is a huge conviction and a reminder of what truly matters in life. Hearing struggling people worship in midst of despair is a testament to the resilience of Nigerians. Apc is the worst government in human history. They haven’t really done any project since their 8 years existence. What they did is finish what pdp already started. Don’t get me wrong, pdp is not a good party either but they’re 10 times better than apc, yet!

It looks like this route could earn more revenue for the Nigerian government than Abuja - Kaduna trailway route. There is just marginalization in the federal level. I can see why this country will find it difficult to progress.
@DavidNkwa
@DavidNkwa 2 жыл бұрын
Of Course this route will earn more revenue, because there are lots of cargo. According to the Minister of Transport, Nigeria is extending its train service to Niger Republic, so they bring in there cargo into Nigeria, which in turn will earn Nigeria revenue. But the question for the Minister is, how about the millions of Cargo that move from the Aba to Kano, Kaduna, Port Harcourt and Lagos. If getting revenue is the main reason for sighting train lines, why not start with the eastern rail line? Anyways he said it will be done, but am sure it will not be competed by this administration. However personally I like Amechi the Minister for the great work he is doing, If Abia State Governor, both present and past are visionally and politically smart, Abia State will not be in a mess

This Aba-Port Harcourt line sees more passenger traffic than Lagos-Ibadan line. Even if the fares are raised, people would still use the railway. I think they prefer using the railway, not necessarily because the roads are bad.

I thought Transport Minister Rotimi Amaechi told Nigerians that the Portharcourt-Aba-Umuahia-Enugu-Maiduguri (East TO North Rail) is not viable, i.e. no patronage, no passengers, not profitable. Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi was really lying. See how the train is packed full all the time. Even goods can fill up coaches upon coaches. How can a country progress when a Minister made such a monumental investment error of miscalculation. Amaechi went further to borrow from China to build the Lagos-Abuja-Kaduna for Terrorists to blow up the trains and rails. And now ALL Nigerians will have to pay for his myopic investment that will trully cost Nigerians.

The train project location where politically done. The Port Harcourt - Maiduguri line is the most viable, they know this. Is just political

With the kind of traffic along this route, if government revamps the rail sector in this country, they will earn a lot of revenue. But honestly, I don't know why they do standard gauge in other parts of the country and they intend to do narrow gauge in this part.

@@DavidNkwa that's not true. They want to leave have something to leave office with in 2023. The cost of building standard gauge on the eastern line which is bigger than the western line is a lot of more expensive and Chinesse are not giving any new loans, so it is easier and faster for us to repair the existing for $3B and in the future build new standard guage.

What a ride. Thank you for showing this. It clearly exposes how the average Nigerians are suffering. Like this is suffering and smiling at the same time. Nigeria can't accept mediocre any longer. All citizens should go get their pvcs. It is your power and your weapon to FIRE ALL THOSE INCOMPETENT GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS IN THE OFFICE come February 2023. This video not only makes you smile, see the beautiful souls of Nigerians praising and calling on God but it also makes you angry and outright hate the status quo. Everything is not God. Praying or prayer is not going to solve bad governance. People should get it up in their head that those in power are there to serve them not the other way around. And when they are not performing well or when their report cards stinks they should be voted out of the office. It makes me sick seeing people suffering from the hand of bad governance
