I don't know how Dovetail thinks this was what people wanted. There's a tonne of suggestions going to expand the current GWR routes and the new Class 800's and 387's. Or loads of suggestions for European railways such as Dutch routes etc. This, just doesn't really fall into the remit of anything people wanted. I'll watch it because Colonel Failure could make a video on pealing potatoes and it'd still be funny.

I think it is a lovely route, just lacking a couple of steamers. It doesn't always have to be about high speed lines and on the forums I have been on this has been very received, so I am not sure it isn't what people wanted!

Completely agree, although the landscape looks nice, the train simulation is lacking - where's the progression it just seems the same tried and tested trainsets.

This would be so cool in VR, I wish they'd add support. I've tried Derail Valley and driving a train feels a million times more natural with VR controls, but that game's fictional trains and simplistic map let it down so much compared to what this game could be.

Colonel the run you did from Crowcombe Heathfield to Bishop Lydeard was stop, you don't touch the throttle but you keep an eye on the brakes, that's what I was told when I drove a diesel locomotive down that section of the track

Heritage railways are limited to 25 MPH under the light railways act. Even those who have the track and safety to do so are not allowed. Although saying that ive been behind some steam engines and the drivers were not doing 25!! Lol

I bought this last week first trip was in a class 45, couldn't find the cab light switch so whilst wandering round the cab trying to find it i fell out the loco, somewhere on the east coast is a class 45 passenger consist with no driver doing 70 MPH

If you've only picked up the CSX: Heavy Haul pack that's the only one you'll be able to drive. There are a couple of other packs (like this one) you can grab that'll add new routes and locos to drive.

I don't have one yet to be honest. They're all a suitable challenge as I don't spend time learning the game - I find it easier to get into sticky situations if I don't practise :)
