JT, Enjoyed your video. I liked the piggyback train. I worked for CSX back in the 80’s . One of my favorites was the juice train out of Sarasota Fl. We would come through the yard in Tampa , slow down and step off and another crew would get on and they would get the green light and the engines would start roaring and it would be balls to the wall. What a beautiful sound to hear them roar. Just wanted to share that with you.

Thanks Jaw Tooth for sending me another excellent train video. Man, some of those trains are really moving! When you showed the close ups of the rail, l noticed how exactly the same your tracks are compared ours up here, especially when l saw some of the spikes sticking up an extra 1.5 to 2". They sure make the rails way higher, thicker & heavier now than back in the Steam Era, when ironically steam engines were a lot harder on the tracks!

Nice seeing you at Faulkner Wye for the first time. As a frequent visitor, it's a hot spot for Train Activity where the CNO&TP and the Louisville District meet. Faulkner is also a place where Trains pull up to get fueled and/or have Crew Changes if Danville Yard is full or for Trains that go to from North to West or from East to go North just like NS 376 and 375. Next time when you go back down here, you should check out Harrodsburg where the Trains go through some tight curves and gets close to buildings/homes. And Harrodsburg is currently the Oldest Town in Kentucky, so there is quite a bit of History here. Also, there is a place called South Fork where there is a big Trestle a little ways south Danville. Just south of South Fork is Kings Mountain where trains go up and down a Steep Grade through a big cut into the hill. Those 2 places i would highly recommend going in the future and the Line generally stays busy as well.

I love that area between Lexington and Danville, I was wondering if that wood bridge was still there about a quarter mile south of Faulkner Lane near Danville. I couldn't see it in your video . I could see the signal bridge and if I remember right, The bridge was fairly close to the signals. PS, I almost got to meet you at Woodland Jct. when that UP Steamer Ran, but you had to take off quickly to try to get it again. I was driving the Black Challenger. That was the first time I have seen you in person. Thanks for sharing your videos

Great train action! Always enjoy your videos. When are you coming back to Marion Ohio? I ride my motorcycle up there from Columbus all the time now after seeing one of your videos. The Marion station is a great place to watch trains and it is busy! Some of the folks in the train station that I have met are friendly and one of them worked on the Lackawanna. He said up to 55 trains per day move through Marion. I have always seen at least one possibly two trains whenever I have been up there. Great place. Thank you for posting.

Jaw Tooth, were you aware that about a half mile south of Faulkner Road/Lane is the wye that the steel coil trains between Middletown, Ohio to Rockport, Indiana and return use to get on and off the Rat Hole Line? When you mentioned that you were north of Danville, Kentucky is the description, I was hoping that you caught Norfolk Southern train #375 from Middletown, Ohio to Rockport, Indiana while you were in the area. That signal bridge that appears at 1:39 more than likely controls access to and from the north leg of the wye. Thank you for catching the trains at Faulkner Road/Lane and at Burgin, Kentucky for us to see and enjoy! )Posted on 13 November 20224 at 0013 CST.)
