As much as I wish I had sent my dog to Brandon for training before bringing him home kzbin.infoUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU I am so grateful for this down-to-earth, practical guide. His training techniques and tips really work. Thank you as well for dedicating your life's work to rescue dogs, and to rescuing those of us who want the very best for our 4-legged family members.

Dog Daddy, I always see trainers here complaining you are abusive and mean to the dogs, and I'm sure that they must not watch your videos to the end because abuse would be punishing them even with good behavior. Once these dogs can relax, you barely have to make any corrections. And some people complain about the tail not wagging being an indicator of not being relaxed, and it's so telling that this is not the only indicator of a dog being happy when I watch the video. I get it why they are jealous of your results and feel the need to criticize you on your methods; they probably can't get the same effective results as you can! Your talent is harmful to their business.

I work in a dog boarding facility, voted best in town. my co worker and I were talkign about different dog trainers and i brought Dog Daddy up and i stated my opinion that his attire of gucci and designer glasses puts me off personally but i stuck through the cringe and binge watched every video i can find. he does an amazing job at educating other trainers how to better use the tools they have. her opinion was the same as what you stated, said he was abusive.. swinging dogs around by their collar and then the owners overly accepting and rewarding this neglect. I had to shut my mouth as we are not hired as dog trainers. but i agree with the comment im replying to that people do not like his results as he states there is no dog he is un willing to work with, ive heard her say she will not work with a certain few dogs as they give her the weird vibes. the challenge and communication of building a bond in most of us and i find it appalling when people dont listen to results.

So many humans are reluctant, almost scared to boss their dogs around! But with some dogs, this is needed in the beginning. As time goes on, the more the dog recognizes the owner's authority, a softer correction will work just as well.

If you are properly alpha to your dog and you are consistent. You can look at your dog and they know what they're supposed to do. Dogs are the only animals that can read human facial expressions. Even chimpanzees can't do it. But they've put retinal trackers on dogs and they literally read the human face top left to bottom right like people. And that's why dogs always know what your emotions are. Because they read it on your face just like people do

Lots of experts on dog training in the comment section. I can bet $100 that none of these people have ever owned a german shepherd. They're not your typical golden retriever, labrador etc. these breeds are intelligent for a reason. If you don't train them properly, they will take charge and not see you as the leader. Some Germans if not exposed to an environment when it's a puppy it will get aggressive

Dogs feel safer and are more loyal to a pack leader. To me, he is teaching owners who are in over their heads how to STEP UP AND BE WHAT THEIR DOGS NEED.. It is abusive to get a dog that has to live with an Ignorant owner who just got a dog as an ornament. Their dog has no order or safe feeling because owners will not get that they have a role to assume as a dog owner. Simply put, DD is addressing ignorance in owners. That is superb.

people complaining and saying this is abuse clearly don’t understand dog behavior. Stop trying to humanize their behaviors. Dog body language/behavior is perceived and communicated way differently than humans. Majority of cases of dog aggression is because dogs don’t have that leadership or reassurance from their owner. They only get this reactive when they are confused/frustrated and they end up thinking for themselves. He did such a good job regaining control and overall desensitizing them around other dogs! 👏🏼😊

Seth _ for a dog like this, I generally believe he should’ve eased the dog into the situation. No matter how you read it, the dog was terrified and gave up which is why he was “okay” with being near the other dog. Let’s say someone has a phobia regarding getting into deep water. You throw them in. What’s gonna happen? They panic, and try to get out. You force them to stay in. They try again. This continues until they give up. What did they learn? To never try to get out when you’re around. But the simple fact is that they still have a phobia. This “trainer” didn’t help the dog get over their fear, he just forced them to stop showing that they were scared. He should’ve actually dealt with the fear so the behavior would follow. Not the other way around. Just socializing them in situations they can handle.

@@marshamoore8385 You like to criticize a lot. I'm pretty sure he knows what he is doing seeing as his dogs are well behaved and happy. They live like kings. He has been doing this for 10 years and can talk the talk and walk the walk. Dogs are not people or babies when people start treating their pets like they people that's a huge problem. The dog will not respect you and think it is one of you which it isn't dogs are animals and think very differently to us. You should already know all of this if you really train dogs. I love my dog very very much and all animals but he is still an animal and I must accept he thinks differently to me.

Maybe use a prong collar. You might want to use an ecollar. I've never dealt with hybrids. Look on line for someone experienced. There's a woman on YT who has huge wolf dogs. I forget her name. If you type in wolf dogs she'll probably come up. She's been dealing with all kinds of animals for a long time. Animal Watch on YT.

Mary Cox I think you are confusing correction with abuse. They are totally different and you need to be more mindful of the situation because like you said this dog is aggressive he needs to use a way of training that will be safe for the dog and the people. I am learning how to be a dog trainer so if you found this helpful or if you think I am wrong please give me feedback because I want to get better. Thank you 😊

Not trying to put labels on people, but is this coming from a liberalist stand point? Nowhere in this video does it say he trains every dog like this. You have to be assertive with aggressive dogs. Yelling doesn't work. And hitting a dog is absolutely the worst kind of control. He did neither of those things! Repetition and training is what works. You have to let them know you're the alpha. Just take a look at how well behaved his German Shepards are. It's effective, not abusive.

@@TheDogDaddyofficial Ah! Augusto, don't be thanked! Get real training and stop the abuse! As for me, I AM a licensed and certified dog trainer. I have raised and trained GSD'S for over 50 year's. I have NEVER used negative reinforcement! I have NEVER had a dog cry out in pain and fear! You need a wake up call before you harm or kill a dog jerking on it's neck. Good training takes time not aggression.

@@donny2993 Normally I try not to respond to this guy's channel anymore. You are laughing so I thought I would respond. When a dog is abused I can't laugh! There is a prong collar on the dog that yelped. Improper use of the prong collar can and does kill dogs. Everyone seems to think he dog is now "trained". It's not! If anything the dog is worse now than it was. Training begins the moment the pups eyes open. It is done with consistency and kindness. Discipline when done does NOT include violence. When you see dogs out of control it's because the owners don't put the time into training. Then they want a quick fix for their neglect. Quick fixes never work.
