Looking at your Strava profile you should be able to cruise to a 3 hour marathon no problem. You ran a 1:14 half which equates to a 2:35 full. 3 hours should be like a long easy run for you

32 year old male in Chicago here, only a few minutes off from getting my first sub 2 hour half marathon. It’s great to see other like-minded individuals like yourself who are putting in the work (you’re definitely faster than me though!). The running community is a great one. Keep on grinding my friend.

Hi fellow Canadian! :) And on Thursday it got down to -20F (-29C) real feel because of the windchill, here in Alberta. Still went out for a run, but it was for sure gnarly :D

I’ve ran that river trail so many times before my first marathon! No where near as fast as you. But I moved back to my hometown late 2019, so I’m back in the desert 100 miles away from Long Beach. Best of luck to you on the sub 3, your going to kill it

3 hours will be so easy for you. I ran a 2:54:08 marathon at 16 and my easy runs were no near as fast. For sure you will get sub 2:40:00 Just crush some 18-22 mile long runs and you got that time easily

Great vid. I'm always looking for channels about running (as I'm new to running and just did my 1st marathon) and it's always a gem to me when the influencer is in training for a race. Looking forward to more vids.

Hi. I'm a new subscriber. We have a trail like this in Washington, D.C. It's the C & O canal trail. There are races run on it; 5K to ultras. There is the Crescent trail too. Both run parallel to the Potomac river. I never broke 3 hours. I ran a 3:02 in the Marine Corps Marathon; so close 😭!

Good job 😊 👍🏻. I always enjoy your videos and can't wait for another one. But may I ask you do you have a coach or do you run base on your own training plan? How do you get recover from work and these much training which are usually long runs? Because I also work in a restaurant and I do go for running 4 days per week with 2 sessions of weight training, I really feel that I'm very tired. What would be your suggestion base on your experiences? Thanks

Lol been running in 30 degree rain the last few weeks. 17 miles in rain and 25mph wind last week wasn't optimal, but it was necessary.

I’m running the half in surf city as part of my prep for Boston 2022 - just ran the LA marathon in 2:57. I know you must get this a lot but your Strava feed shows that you are running way to fast for your easy runs and you’re not getting 1-2 quality longer runs in. This may explain your plantar injury earlier this year. Would love to train together sometime - I live in Santa Monica and seems like we’re shootings for the same times.
@matthewlubey93163 жыл бұрын
If you like running in Hoka. I suggest the carbon X 2 for racing. Ran my first marathon in them recently and got 2:54. On another note if I got a 2:54 at 16 and not as much fitness as you,you will for sure get sub 2:40
