Training for Elk Hunting

I believe Colorado just eliminated OTC tags this week I read. I’m 67 drew elk and mule deer tags this year and I hunt solo in wilderness area. This is my 15th year in Colorado mountains I lift 4 days a week 3 hours a day. I start rucking in February at least 5 days a week but nothing can prepare you for altitude. I do intensive cycling class to start every day at gym and end session with airbike to failure ( meaning I can’t breath). With altitude it’s not about getting out of breath it’s how quickly you recover. Great video, like hearing from normal people. Been lifting 35 years so I can hunt the way I want.

I stand corrected this year in Colorado, out of state OTC archery elk this year next year completely draw only. There were more out of state archery elk hunters in Colorado than in state hunters.
