It can be hard to really understand just how heavy some of these lifts are if you don't have a crack at them yourself. Andrea warming up with 72.5Kg strict logs for reps is preposterous. I remember the first time I was able to even *push press* 70Kg for one rep and I was over the moon. Yet, 70Kg is only HALF of what this lady pressed for a world record. Phenomenal strength.

I think this is why CrossFit is so popular. The weights are big but they are more understandable to the average gym user. So hard to even fathom the weights these are throwing around

Yes Andrea! Let's Go 💪💪💪💪 seems like such a good vibe at that gym too. As a former thrower, if Andrea plants her feet hard at the point of release and gets some leg drive under and up she will get more distance. Your putting the momentum into the the release and less likely to be carried across the mark to foul throw. Think more push press.

It’s weird because I’m keen to watch the stone throw but it looks like such an underwhelming event. Which probably means it’ll make great viewing.

If they run it like a long jump and don’t take too much time between athletes it could get exciting as the distances should be close and competitive. The most exciting events at the Arnold’s for me in recent time has been Thor vs Mateusz on the Cyr dumbbell max in 2020, Thor vs Mateusz on the natural stone Medley 2020, Mateusz on the stone to shoulder, Thor Elephant Bar, The T bar squat last year, was tight for 2nd and 3rd with JF looking like an absolute Machine.

Woulda said to put the hands higher on the car so the pushing angle's more similar to the wheel of pain, but looking very impressive on everything. And always a lot of fun when she's on the channel.
