Building a training complex in London is the most American thing You're basically moving the club to London that's what some American owners do moving nfl clubs to other cities
@eddycarpenter8989
@eddycarpenter8989 Жыл бұрын
They may move cities. But once they are there, they would never have a training ground in another city. Because typically the city has invested a lot of tax revenue and investment in real estate development and business agreements involved in bringing the team and building a stadium etc.

I completely disagree I’m london born and bred. I live in France now as I can’t afford to raise my family in london but I’ve got friends I’ve grew up with that have social housing there and whilst they may be not the most amazing houses it’s fine. There’s a culture in london that is nowhere else I’ve been. Growing up in west london on a council estate with so many cultures shapes you. How you dress, how you talk, how you cook and even how you dance. Problem is London is just too expensive and social cleansing just gets worse and worse. But if you got money (millions) I’d move back tomorrow

Nots not all dozens of schools in London where 98% of pupils get an A. World class food scene, endless museums, endless entertainment events (ranked no. 1 globallly). Residential areas much nicer than Newcastle. Show me an area as mine as South Kensington or Holland Park in central Newcastle? Much easier access to Europe for trips. World class shopping, most members clubs globally. Country clubs in the city like the Hurlingham club. Incredibly beautiful place to hang out. No other place has these places in the city.

Think it’s a southerner and northerner opinion, to northerners, London looks a run down mess with way too many nationalities ignoring each other, guess a cockney would say the same about northern cities though. Climate is no different until you cross into the highlands, if I was a foreigner I’d be choosing Exeter or Torquay

Nationalities ignoring each other 😂 mate sounds like you don’t get out much London is literally one of the only places in England where a German Greek Turk Nigerian and Jamaican could all be mates what an ignorant statement

Nationalities ignoring each other? London is one of the most diverse and embracing cities in the world. Go to Hackney where you will find Polish people eating Indian food prepared by a Bengali cook who is dating a woman of Irish and Jamaican heritage that lives next door to an English family hosting Ukranian refugees that were brought there by a Nigerian Uber driver.
