It makes me feel really good to see Ronnie out of the wheelchair. He was even standing un assisted at times. I hope and pray his recovery continues and one day he can be pain free.

@@beaur1270 He has broken multiple discs in his back and has had multiple surgeries to try and fix it but he hasn't been able to walk normally for more than a couple yards otherwise he needs crutches

@@beaur1270 He needed surgery due to lifting injuries but the spine surgeon gave him unnecessary ones and made it harder for him to walk. Now he is undergoing stem cell therapy which he says is going very well with him!

I remember about 20 years ago, I was training to enter a junior bodybuilding contest. I watched absolutely everything Ronnie did and had done. I sent him an email saying he was such an inspiration and thanked him for what he had done for the sport. I of course did not expect an answer, but HE DID! He sent me a very nice email back and wished me luck. I couldn't believe it. Thank you so much for being authentically you, Ronnie

ronnie is such a humble guy it must be fun to be around him its sad to see how much his injuries did to him i wish him only the best. dispite all the injuries he still works out and he loves it thats how you can see how much working out and the gym really means to him most people would have quit so many times before he did truly inspiring.

@WhyNot It was combination of lifelong HEAVY lifting, lifting with damaged hernia, botched operation in his words and not getting proper recovery. Basically his spine holds together because of screws and those need constant readjustments, fixing... to hold in place and can damage nerves.

The craziest thing is, after he herniated a disc, he sat on the couch for 2 weeks, then his first workout back was squats. I’m 3 months post herniated disc, and walking is excruciating. I cant imagine squatting after 2 weeks

As much as I love Ronnie he is probably the one guy you don't want to train with. He wrecked his back time after time. My heart breaks knowing the pain and suffering he went through.

You're all wrong. The back injury had nothing to do with his training. He sustained it when he was a teenager.

Ronnie is an absolute legend, just think not only was he so inspiring with how hard he pushed, his phrases, how massive and good he looked, he well he competed etc. But even now, when he’s out of his prime, not in the spotlight, still being an inspiration and such a positive bright happy attitude with everything, this is what I strive to be. I literally cried at seeing King Coleman walking. Kids nowadays don’t understand that this guy is not only the most prolific Mr Olympia, he has the heart of a champion that endured 13 back surgeries and is back at it with such humility! A living legend 💜💜💜

@@hasselett Being proud of someone hustling and grinding it out is good and something to aspire to. All accomplishments in history are because someone accomplished something before that. I don't think being proud of a stranger's accomplishments is idolizing/worshipping/or putting one on pedestal making yourself 'below' them. I see it as inspiration/kudos/props to have others to follow their dreams. Knowing if one can do it (like running a mile under 4 min/ Roger Bannister) then it can be done by others.
