Greatest! Dr Eliffe clarified so many of my intuitions about aversion. Particularly that the world is more full of avoidance behaviors than rewarding behaviors.

this is a brilliant podcast. Anyone who has an above-average interest in the creature of a dog should watch this podcast. Whether you are a trainer, a behavioral therapist, a veterinarian, provide canine training as a dog trainer or are otherwise involved with dog owners. Respect Ivan Balabanov for taking all this effort to try to reach consensus in the world of dog trainers and creating wonderful podcasts in which you treat all your guests with respect. I enjoy following all your podcasts, they are of the next level precisely because they are reasoned from the psychological perspective of the dog. This is not about people, but about allowing dogs to function with their genetics, especially in a Western society with our 'human' rules that often do not go together with the instinctive choices of animals and in this case dogs specifically. If we think about it carefully, this also applies to us humans, we cannot and should not always follow our instincts or needs, especially if this is at the expense of others, your health or danger to yourself and the environment in which you live. therefore, there are rules that are enforced according to the quadrant of learning and associating consequences. I hope you continue to have the energy to continue your fantastic work. you really make a difference. Respect. Shared on my fb page.

You mention that you can’t create true avoidance (eg wildlife avoidance) without the use of aversives. In theory you could create conditioned aversion/avoidance with observational learning.
@IvanBalabanovАй бұрын
@@gmelliot19 yes absolutely you can. Success will depend on the level of motivation n past history. Can be quite effective as preventative but then again as a kid how many times we heard to keep away from the hot stove and how did we ultimately learned 🤔
