Back in the 1950s I was at school next to the station and remember seeing the early diesel locomotives number 10000 and 10001 passing through at speed.

Really enjoyable watch. I find it a little ironic though that Avanti's Climate Pledge livery though attractive, is also used by a train company that has set and structured fares in such a way that they actually put people back in cars. I think a Virgin Train Climate livery would have had much more credibility. Nice work to capture all of this.

Sunny day at castle station, as usual I'm asleep due to being a night awake support worker. Will not get fed up with the 390s as my last ever non zoom training course saw a pendo get me home. Yes it was bit clear after clearing galgate that late braking was afoot . It is the smell of hot hot brakes as you finally get home reminds you of journeys pre covid.
