Very nice video! I hope to visit Oxenholme in the future. I like how you gave some history and information about the station during the video, I also liked how there was a medium to large variety of trains throughout the video. Liked and subscribed too :)

That short - out between the overhead power line and the Northern DMU indicates a serious electrical issue. If there is a "Static" build-up on the DMU it indicates poor earth bonding and if that short occurs when passengers are in contact with the train there is a major safety concern that should be addressed. The RSSB should investigate this. Did it damage the roof of the train?

I was some way away from the platform but it was a very loud bang and I did notice that the train stopped abruptly. Both station and train staff were in attendance and a different train was in use on the Windermere branch line in the afternoon so assume that this train was withdrawn from service although I am unable to confirm this.

Wtf was a 397 doing on platform 3

Hi Jake, yes I thought the same thing. The train was already in Platform 3 by the time I arrived at the station. I believe this service usually runs from Glasgow Central to Liverpool Lime Street but I think on this occasion it started from Oxenholme and was reversed into P3 before starting its journey. Not sure of the reason for this.
