Trains at Lockerbie, WCML - 14/9/19

Welcome to the latest episode of Big Trip! Today I am at Lockerbie on the West Coast Main Line where services are seen by Virgin Trains, Transpennine Express and LNER!
Lockerbie is a peaceful station that is looked after very well! The station is maintained by a local community who have helped the station look at its best with flowers all around it and looking after the station building which does look great! The views are spectacular in both directions it must be said as you can see things from far away, making it easy to prepare yourself. This station does have its minor gaps in trains but when things do show up, it's worth seeing as the speed trains pass through here with is amazing! The area itself has history, with the tragic terrorism incident in Lockerbie back in the late 80s, this town always remembers that. Overall though, I very much enjoyed my stay here and would definitely re-visit! The diverts helped it be a better station than it usually is too!

Partick station in Glasgow it's quite a busy station to get plenty of action from. Also, it's a subway interchange if you fancy something other than national rail. Partick is a bit of a bottle neck station on a line that is over-capacity and if something goes wrong there, it affects the whole central belt network that passes through Glasgow.

Smashing video KTV I've past through Lockerbie many times by road but never actually visited the station. Regarding your question about railway stations maintained by voluntary groups. Check out these links.
