I have watched this movie maybe a dozen times but, it seems, I have never really observed or studied it. Just so much going on in Trainspotting. Brilliant vid, btw

Interesting. I certainly can't argue with anything you've said. It all seems so logical and fits together very well. But, I was not expecting it to go the way it did. I figured the point you were going to make was that Mark, as Judas, led Tommy to his death, twice. Firstly, when he asked to borrow 101 Greatest Goals, but had slipped the tape of Lizzie & Tommy 3 in the box, causing their breakup, and Tommy's decision to try heroin, and then, also as Judas, was the one who first let him try it, eventually leading to his death from AIDS via Toxoplasmosis. Your viewing in this discussion and selection of scenes of Begbie as Jesus is very interesting. Everyone is the main protagonist in their own story, and Franco would be no different. Mark betrayed Simon and Spud as well (until he un-betrayed Spud), but in Begbie's narrative, those are far lesser crimes. This is the second of your Trainspotting analyses that I've watched and thoroughly enjoyed. I'm going to look to see if you have any more. Fingers crossed. If not, I wonder what other films I love you have gone in-depth into....
