Distant Signal has a 6 part series on rail line signals (US based) that is very useful for route building in Trainz, because he shows how to read them. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aKnKhKisnZdrjqs. Knowing which signal to use for what section of track always confused me, but a bit of research has helped. The commonly used rail signals used in the US are single aspect (one light), double aspect (distant, diverge and approach (two lights)), triple aspect (interlocking (three lights)), and variations. Some are permissive and some are absolute. I personally love using searchlight signals because it's what I grew up seeing. Block signals are messaging types (different combos of colors represent what is happening on the track) and that's why they greatly differ from traffic lights. Also included in most rail interchanges is the use dwarf signals. Signal blocks these start at about a half mile long (some freight trains are built to 14000 feet which is over two miles long) to about a mile, and if you build in Real Scale, just over two baseboards will give you one mile.

Just stumbled upon this video, I have been route making in trainz for about 3-4 years now, and boy is this a game changer for me. Particularly your tip for making realistic mountains/hills. And also that tip for keeping the track spline stationary while landscaping around it ! Never knew that! This video deserves a lot more views and recognition! Please can you do more!!!!! Also don’t have the background music quite so loud! Thanks !!!!!

I would love to have the Milwaukee Road Iowa-Illinois Division done from Council Bluffs,Ia to Bensenville,Il from 1977 in trainz a new era or trainz 2012 finding griswold em gate pedestal mount crossing signals with wishbone gate arms high bridges like the one in Madrid,Ia the Milwaukee crossed and a swing truss drawbridge like the one in Sabua,Ia along with king post truss bridges, queen post truss bridges ans telephone poles like the Milwaukee Road used in trainz 2012 I am not a route designer so I would need some people to design it for me since i am not a designer everything I have designed before did not turn out at all
