Denki might be the most realistic of his peers. Ninjas weren't magical super soldiers like media portrays. They were assassins and spies, using their tricks to avoid confrontation. In the modern era with so much information kept in computers, a ninja with great tech skills would be vital. Doesn't mean that he doesn't need to step up his game as a fictional character.

i think the flashbomb was hurting his eyes and he couldn't stand the pain of it, it's like looking straight at the sun, of course he could have just closed his eyes but it was just involuntary i agree with you about letting him get away that made zero sense but for covering his eyes? that was definitely necessary, and the scenario could've gone like one of the three kicks him or releases denki ouf of his hands overall poor logical storytelling from the studio
