This app is like cheating! Im blown away by how accurate it works. Total newby to longer shooting and yesterday the guy next to me at the range told me about Strelock. I amanaged to set up the basics right there and jumped from hitting the 250m gong to hitting the 650m gong in 10 rounds. For me that is incredible , now that I have had time to sit down and add all the correct values like the video shows , the results come out exactly the same as the adjustments I made to hit the 650m gong. Thanks for the cool video.

Big point here is Strelok Pro has options that the freebie doesn't. It's worth the few dollars to buy it. In my case it's 1/2 the price of a box of ammo. Don't be that cheap guy/girl. A lot of work went into developing that app. You get what you pay for.

I bought the Pro after reading the reviews. The developer is amazing! He updates constantly. I sent him an email about my scope not being offered in the app. Less than a week later there was an update and my scope was there. He is constantly updating and for anything you need. This is the only BC I use. It’s dead on as long as you put the correct info into the calculator.

Just a suggestion mate i have a more accurate way.. So with your bolt back measure bolt diameter and half it... then measure back of scope bell and half it.. THEN measure distance between bottom of scope bell and top of bolt and add that value to the other 2... perfection no guessing centre
@troynichols97885 жыл бұрын
The old way (best guess middle bell to bore) gave me 2.1". This new way is definitely more accurate and gave me 1.94". However, the discrepancy only came out to a 2" difference @ 1000yds (269" vs 267") so doesn't look to be a significant concern. Regardless, why not do it right? After I read this reply from "Jai B" above I yanked the PR from the safe and immediately re-measured. Great tip, Jai B. Thanks. Always learning.

@@mikewelsh3598 theres no play in a quality rifle... maybe a shitty r700 lo However, a solution to the problem u described would be to measure it forcing the bolt up, then bolt forced downward, the number in between those 2 would be your winner and you get to eat your chicken dinner :)

Piet, You unfortunately did your measurements incorrectly. Strelok wants the measurement from the center of your objective, to the center of your bore. 1/2 barrel thickness, plus 1/2 of measurement at the end of your scope, plus the distance from the bottom of the scope objective to your barrel. For more information check out Strelok instructions.

I am surprised you left out Density Altitude inputs. Temperature and barometric pressure are essential for valid calculations. Also it must be absolute pressure at your location and not the corrected pressure they report in weather broadcasts. I-Phones will give you absolute pressure and a kestrel drop will give you temperature, pressure and humidity needed for the essential density altitude. Major flaw to not cover this.

could it be that 6.5cm is a very light recoiling rifle? That thing you did there does not work with my 300 PRC. At least not when it comes to group size. If the rifle is not tight to my shoulder, and my body position not well inline, the groups open up. Tried the free recoil thing, though i was looking thru the opic, and its becomes a wild card. From staying between 1/2"-3/4" at 100 yards to as much as 5" at a100 yards if recoil is not managed. This would translate to a miss at 838 yards. on a 10" target.

hi piter How should I proceed to calculate the adjustment in caliber .308 168gr without using programs in relation to the impact point on the hottest days above 26ºC and on the coldest days below 15ºC. Is there a formula to calculate the increment to be made in the telescope according to the degree of temperature at the time of shooting? To be sure shoot a box. Zero ant 25m. Put up a big clean sheet of cardboard for a backer and a fresh target. Shoot a group, hold the same piont of aim for all the groups, go 64clicks right, shoot a group, 64 clicks down, shoot, 64 clicks left, shoot, 64 for clicks up, shoot. The first and last group should be on top of each other. If it is .25 MOA per click you will have a 4 inch box. At 25m a quarter inch approximates one MOA.
