I really wanted the TR8, it would have matched my track racer triple screen mount, but i could not justify paying the money being asked. i looked for weeks online, the cheapest i found was £650 without a seat on ebay, so i eventually found a bargain on Gumtree. I bought a Simetik k2 without seat for £150 had to travel to pick up so extra £15ish, Bought a bucket seat for £160 and it is solid with my csl elite. Very pleased. Nice setup mate and good video .

the first wheel you could get was way back in GT 4 on PS3, there were no "racing setups" we all had to make our own cockpits. i did the best that could be done back then by using a real car seat and a steel frame, it still works great, all the electric seat functions still work, its just heavy

You might well find it easier to use the paddle shifters for changing gear in GT sport at speed, especially when you need to change down before a corner.

Pretty Solid In-Depth Review, Nice One, Cheers !! Finally, someone's actually made a decent Rig with a large tubular frame, like I've been saying they should for ages.....This looks nice and rigid !! Only things I've been wishing they'd do in addition to the Large Tubular Frame is making it so that ALL the adjustments (for the angle of the seat and pedals etc.) are possible to be done totally by hand, without using any sort-of tool !! Also, they should've made it possible to fold-up the frame a little (or make it so the frame easily comes apart in-two) and make the seat removeable as well with some sort-of quick-release system.....All of this would make storage a lot easier when not in use and would go together quick and easy when you want to use it !! These additions would make it more appealing to wider range of players !! That's my thoughts anyway.....Thanks Again for the Video !! EDIT:- It's a Quality Rig, Looks Great and Well Built too BUT it would be Even Better if they were to release a revised version with the additions/tweaks applied, which I've suggested above, for those many players out there that don't have a lot of space to play in !! Anyway, Thanks Again !!

You need to put a simucube ultimate on it and some hydraulic pedals to "test" it. A Logitech at 2nm will not stress test anything.

I almost got this, but I saved $300 going for the GT Omega Titan instead. TR8 cost a bit over $1000 and the Titan is $700 For my first rig I don’t need the ULTIMATE SETUP. Lol I’m sure the TR8 is better, but I’m ok with what the Titan has to offer. Both have good reviews.

bro put the pedals lower and the seat lower and closer to the wheel, so that your elbows are bent 90 degrees when holding the wheel at 9 and 3 o`clock. it will be even more comfortable for longer sessions. and you will be recording a bit faster laptimes.

I wish I had the space in my bedroom for this as I don't have a "gaming room". I'm using a wheel stand pro deluxe + G29. For the seat, I use one of those folding chairs, which is pretty comfortable but I'd prefer a racing seat

Very nice ! I opted for the Speed Cockpit from The Frenchie. I mounted some wheels on back of the wood board so I can move it around and tuck it away when not playing. Do you think it would be possible to add wheels to a similar setup like yours ?

I don't have electric tools and I'm struggling to assembly the shifter mount properly. what would be the simplest way to assembly it? what electric tool would I need? I've had the TR8 cockpit since January and I absolutely love it and I have a TH8A shifter that i haven't been able to use. Would love to get the shifter mount done and be able to use my shifter :) Thanks

I’m satisfied with the Open Wheeler cockpit set up and Logitech G29 driving wheel and 6 speed shifter accessory. My problem is that there are so few driving games that make it a worthwhile investment. I gave up on Gran Turismo after 4 and have held off on buying 7. The early reviews on 7 looked promising in spite of my reservations, but the later reviews seem to have confirmed all my concerns. In short, I have three games that make it worthwhile, Project Cars 2, Asseto Coursa, and Dirt 4. Dirt 4 is good, bur I’m not into Rally racing. Do you have any other picks for games? Can you convince me that GT7 is worthwhile? I want games that focus on racing without all the grinding for cars,parts,licenses Etc. The online only and micro transactions really put me off.

NO.. the cockpit does NOT make a setup a beginner or high end.. the equipment you use ie. wheel, pedals and shifter does.
