How to create a Playlist on the Denon DJ SC6000 Prime 2.0.0 update

So much agree with this. Editing playlists on engine should be easier. Can’t create playlist from history neither from prepare list. Denon fix this. Practicing at home playing tracks, maybe tomorrow you want to save that play order and edit it. Preparing for a party specifically you may want to add tracks to prepare list for main party and maybe prepare tracks to play later at the party. Basically get things done away from computer straight on the player! I am ready to spent some serous cash and I am looking at you cos pioneer gear isn’t available..

I agree. Also the SC6000 Needs to have the smart playlist feature & the same way you can edit on engine dj, Then editing on the decks live should be the exact same thing.

Another useful feature for Denon to introduce would be to have the ability to select multiple tracks together or even the entire collection from one of the connected drives to then drag into a new playlist without having to individually select each track then swipe n drop. This would make it a lot quicker to compile a custom playlist. Especially for organising in BPM's or musical keys and genres etc.

i found the same issue when preparing an creating a playlist, but the work around i figured out was to create a playlist from my history! as long as you play the track over 30 seconds, it should be in your history. i agree though we should be able to prepare a list and then create a playlist.

The drag and drop is the only safe way for you actions to trigger your copy paste event. To have any preselected files automatically appear in a new folder is a strong candidate as a bug. Maybe a popup prompting the user is a good intermediate step before the copy

Good tips! The tracks you play will be in your history list so do you need to be able to create a playlist from a prepare list?

you are making playlists from other playlists, how do you move to playlists from folders, it just goes in to prepare.

Here are a few things to do that you can't do with the music database on the CDJ 3000. 1. It is not possible to create and name a playlist on CDJ 3000. 2. It is not possible to move tracks between playlists on the CDJ 3000. 3. It is not possible to delete or rename playlists on the CDJ 3000. 4. On the CDJ 3000, it is not possible to move songs in a playlist. 5. On the CDJ 3000, it is not possible to add new (non-indexed) songs to an existing or new playlist. 6. It is not possible to change the hierarchical structure of playlists on CDJ 3000. 7. On the CDJ 3000, it is not possible to nest playlists in a playlist directory.

You are right. This is all true. On owned them as well. But making a prep list and creating Playlist was nice. I could preview track and then add it in.

A thousand times YES, Martin! The Denon Primes crushes Pioneer in all aspects. If anything, create a playlist, preview a song you want to add, drag to playlist… then repeat. Simple.

The SC6000's needs to have the same record feature as the Prime go & Prime 4,

that's a function of the mixer, not the players. AIOs can easily do it, but I don't think the separate pro-level pieces will ever be able to, just inherently to their design.
