The world wide web is one of the greatest inventions. Without it I would never have learned about this great teacher. God work! Will buy your book.

All his books are the best! Im an amateur and own at least 5+ of Marks books! My favorite is Gospel Piano but I add a more classic rock feel it. I learned so much from these books. Clear sequential learning format that I actually remember!

Nice. The highlight for me - identifying the frequent use of suspension/resolution in the style. 2nd to 3rd on the minor. Cool.

It would be good to see some midi chart or at least chords list.I have a question. What is the rule of making sus4 chords in second inversion?Does it exist or is considered other inverted chord?

Can someone please help me, I want to write a trance song using only F as my bass note and using the pure natural minor scale for my melodies. Which chords are available to use? Can I do chord progressions without changing the bass root note?
@Eflatmajor7sharp118 жыл бұрын
Eliza, assuming you are using your F natural minor scale, you are therefore in the key of Ab major. The most common Trance chord progression is somewhat (over) dependent on the VI minor (your F minor chord) alternating with the IV major chord (Db major). You also have available all of the chords of Ab major: Ab major, Bb minor, C minor, Dd major, Eb major, F minor, G minor b5.

Great tutorial, but as i play by ear and have no knowledge of the theory side of playing a piano/keyboard, the whole e sharp f sharp minus z p d and e....actually made me (confused) c blunt and rc plus (really confused). I wish i could understand to be honest

is it just me or does that keyboard look realllllllly long? assuming he's sitting in front of middle C
@MessiahGaming1080p7 жыл бұрын
Haha, it did strike me also, like did he modify it to have 176 keys or what. =)
@jaysangaming30027 жыл бұрын
Consider that middle C is below the screen of the keyboard and you'll have a better visualisation of it.

kind of hard to listen to the theory for EDM lol. A progression with some variation can work well.
@iggy08211 жыл бұрын
great instructions but it doesn't sound anything like trance.
@mitchiemasha8 жыл бұрын
+iggy082 Yeah for that he's going to need a filter, enveloped, sh!t loads of reverb, modulated, a lot more layers and the vengeance drum library. The musical theories right though. As he is talking from the keyboard players perspective.
