What is it like to travel FIRST CLASS on the Trans Siberian Railway? Join us as we travel from Russia to Ulaanbataar Mongolia on the Transsiberian train. After having travelled in second class and even a shorter ride in third class, we decided it was time to up the ante and travel in luxury (for once). In this video, you'll get a first class train tour as we show you our wagon on the overnight train!
We've fallen in love with train travel and the Transsiberian railway has really stolen our heart. After travelling more than 5000 km by train through Russia, we're finally going to Mongolia. We're super excited to reach Ulaanbataar (Ulan Bator in English). Our train journey has taken us from Tallin in Estonia, to Saint-Peterburg and Moscow to the middle of Russia, Yekaterinburg. Afterwards we travelled 56 hours on a train to reach the heart of Siberia in Irkutsk where we visited one of the highlights of Russia, Lake Baikal.
If you want to check out our videos of the Transsiberian, we've grouped them right here: • TRANS SIBERIAN RAILWAY...

We took a train from Yerevan (Armenia) to Batumi (Georgia) in SV (ala 1st class). Astonished how identical the cabins are. Even the coat hungers. Hilarious. Except our train still had the suspension from the Stalin years. 😱. Lucky it didn't derail. In terms of space, the Soviet SV cabins are great. But nothing beats the ride of the fast (250 kph) trains.

@@NaickKim , many factors affect the price. Branded trains cost 20-50% more than ordinary, because they offer improved service: more convenient departure/arrival time, cars not older than 12 years, improved quality linens and sleeping accessories, higher standards (maintaining a comfortable temperature, for example), additional services, which may be included in the ticket price. For cars with enclosed compartments, there is "dynamic pricing" system, so price constantly changing, depending of departure\arrival time, day of week, season, demand for tickets... Also, it's better to buy a ticket a month (or earlier) before departure, because on the day of departure the ticket often costs twice as much as on the day of the opening of sales. So if you want to see prices for specific route and date, visit pass.rzd.ru/timetable/public/en?STRUCTURE_ID=735 . You can view available features (such as shower in the compartment) by selecting specific type of carriage.

Another great video! It’s bad that our railways are using an old first class cars on this route to Ulanbataar. Modern Russian first-class cars are much more comfortable. P.S. Good luck in your next adventures! Come back to Russia again! You are always welcome! For example, you can visit the beautiful Kazan or the southern resort of Sochi with mountains and the sea.

@@NaickKim Somehow, vodka and beer offering doesn't surprise me at all )) Reminds me how my mother and I travelled from St.Petersburg to Brest (in Belarus). After an hour of conversation with neighbours and ordering tea my mother's like: "What a good company, pity we haven't brought a flask of brandy with us")) Jokingly. A neighboir woman: "Hold on. I have a new bottle of liquor!" We immediately: "No... We were joking... You shouldn't... You are brining it for a weekend at dacha..." "No prob. We have enough alcohol there". So we put some in tea. Treated the fourth companion - a guy, who was a bit shocked, as "three women're trying to get me drunk"))) Stranger woman, rode with her only for 3 hours and didn't even introduce ourselves😊 But, yeah, alcohol isn't allowed. They announce it before every ride. But maybe only in Russian. And nobody definitely pays attention to it)) But police officers going back and forth the train are watching for drunk people as well.
