Did you notice a difference in the young male/young female ratio in Uzhhorod? In your video it seems there are more young females than young males on the street there. Interesting video as always, nice that you show an often overlooked region!

I’d say it’s about even. Perhaps college girls like strolls along the river more. 😃

Looks great, wish I had taken the time to go across the border for a visit when I was in Romania recently. Oh well, next time maybe.

Unscientific estimate of 115 faces on that memorial wall in a city of Uzhhorod, populaiton15K = 1/10 of 1% Applied to a population of 38 million people comes in at 38,000 countrywide deaths to date. Not far off from the 'official" 31K given back in February. And the beat goes on unfortunately.

Lovely video. I hope you enjoyed your birthday weekend. I love watching a couple rather than a single guy.

Conor I really appreciate that you speak Ukrainian today. I love your older content but in that material you spoked Russians which in the light of the invasion is 🤮
@ConorClyneTsarExperience2 ай бұрын
That was a different era. I rarely speak Russian in Ukraine nowadays and my videos reflect that.

A better title would be Transcarpathia: Hungary's most dangerous region.
@ConorClyneTsarExperience2 ай бұрын
It might have gotten more clicks on KZbin with that title … but it would of course be inaccurate.

Isn't this part of Ukraine (and other parts of western Ukraine) land that Ukraine stole from Hungary, Romania and Poland during WW2?
@ConorClyneTsarExperience2 ай бұрын
Post-WW2 those territories were incorporated into the Soviet Union. As you can see in the video, they had previously tried to secede as an independent Ukrainian state (Carpatho-Ukraine) but were invaded by Hungary so it makes sense that it ended up in a fully independent Ukraine. 🇺🇦

@@ConorClyneTsarExperience What i understand from reading history is that the Ukrainians and Russians killed or deported most of the Hungarians and Romanians in the carpatians and northern Bucovina, and annexed those lands. Kind of ironic that now the Russians are annexing land from Ukraine in the east.
@ConorClyneTsarExperience2 ай бұрын
@@rih2370 Nope. These regions had Ukrainian majorities and were compelled by force to be part of neighboring countries. You just have to look at the support for Ukrainian independence in these regions around the end of WW1. The Soviet Union came later and annexed these territories. They still have significant Hungarian and Romanian minorities (they’re less than 10% in these regions nowadays though).

this western part of ukraine is hungarian, romanian, and polish la nd
@rih23702 ай бұрын
@@ConorClyneTsarExperience Yes they are less than 10% nowadays because they were killed by Ukrainians and Russians. Many also managed to flee to Romania/Hungary to escape the genocide. Ukrainians were a small minority of the population before WW2 in these areas, in the city in this video they were 8%. You can look it up on wikipedia. I don't know where you got the idea that they were a majority. This is why i don't support Ukraine or Russia, both are hostile to their neighbours and land stealers.
