This is an insight into my story and my partner's as we complete the 3.800 km in 10 days and 21 H finishing as first pair and 16th position overall.

Can I ask what the purpose and benefit that gives in such long distance races? Do you feel like having that knowledge makes it easier to get the right stuff for the body and recover faster? Anyway. Thank you so much Anna 😊 I use the Supersapiens glucose monitor during races to improve my fuelling and try to maintain stable glucose levels which I found really helpful, specially to avoid underfuelling. Definitely, the data is super useful to know when to eat certain foods, as it changes a lot from one person to another and how to fuel to improve recovery. I have a podcast episode coming up Wednesday next week talking about the glucose monitor and how I use it, as I got many questions about it thought will be nice to share some insights :)

Huge effort so impressive and congratulations on first pair and a great video to go along with it. I know it's tough but I am so glad you put the low points in there, I don't think it would feel as authentic if it was only the high points because we know that's not how these things are. I've been getting back into cycling the last few months after touring seemed to drop out of my life about 10 years, and while it will take me a while to get to the required level this has definitely inspired me to put finishing this race as a goal in a few years time.

Very nice! 5/5 recommend. More elaborated (I will try to keep away spoilers): the documentary is two folded. The first part is entertaining and encouraging. Beautiful scenery and a nice insight in daily riding. Filming is as one would experience the race, with all its ups an downs. As a spectator you are sucked into a story you cannot think of before. The concluding part offers a new layer to self-made cycling documentaries I have never seen before. Though the editing and camera-work is a bit DIY-level, the content you get for it is amongst the most useful you will ever meet in a documentary like this. As said: a must watch for every bikepacking/ultracycling-enthousiast. All in all, this is an authentic approach to record a mammoth race like the TCR. Probably the documentary of the year.

I have no words , not many people understand what it means what it feels to participate and finish this types of races, it is my dream to participate and finish this race (though I am a complete rookie in cycling, have not done any big race) . Would love to know what preparation it takes, what rough budget I should keep in mind, what about visas ( I am from non EU country) , and every single detail . Btw loved every minute of the video, you are very sweet, loving the life. Keep going ❤

Enjoyed watching your video. It really shows how tough it is and even at the pointy end of the race , people go through emotional ups and downs.You seemed to get on together very well, and from what i saw you only had a few arguements.Must be so difficult with all the route decisions you have to make!
