I am so sorry that I didn't respond to your comment earlier. KZbin doesn't provide any notification when you receive a comment. The author has to go to the YOuTube Studio to find out about any comments. Maybe I haven't set up the correct notification option? Anyway, chord mapping works like this: take any triad (major, minor, diminished, augmented) in any key. It consists of 3 notes - bass, third, fifth. Chord mapping gives those 3 notes the numbers 1,2,3. So a C major triad will be mapped like this: C=1, E=2, G=3. The bast way to understand this in Rapid Composer is to create a 1 bar phrase in C Major, consisting of the notes C4,E4,G4. Double click on that phrase to go to the phrase Editor. At the top of the Phrase Editor, make sure to select Chord Relative mapping. The right click on the notes to see how they are mapped to the numbers 1,2,3. Play around with the Note and Octave offsets to see how they adjust the exact pitch of each chord note (i.e. 1,2,3). I hope this helps.

@@servinggodthroughmusic5996 No apology necessary. If I understand you correctly, designating notes as 1, 2 or 3 will produce the root, 3rd or 5th in any Major, Minor, augmented or diminished triad. The other chord and scale tones need to be designated by using the offset and octave settings?
