This is what I did to fix the 40% problem: Do not cancel the transfer, when you get the error just restart the iPhone using the "power and volume buttons". Once the iPhone restarts, open WhatsApp again and the import page will show up again. Click on Start button and this time it should complete to 100%.. It worked for me after resetting my iPhone more than 3 times trying. I hope it works for you guys too... Good luck! 👌🏾

I tried transferring from Android to iOS, and it didn’t work the first time around. I was trying to transfer both contacts and WhatsApp, but after going through the whole setup process, I kept getting a “backup not found” error. After resetting my iPhone and trying again, this time I only transferred WhatsApp. Not sure if that made a difference, but thankfully it worked on the second try! So if anyone’s having issues, maybe try focusing on one thing at a time like I did-it might help.

So, I bought the app. It didn’t work, they gave me the laptop version and then even that didn’t work. They asked me for log files which I sent but they kept asking for the same 5-6 times and finally when I asked them to refund they said to try again. Hey, This is not a straight forward solution, but this is what worked for me. Just like u, me too have been using my phone since few months and had data in it. 1) I took a backup of my whole data to iCloud and then did a factory reset of the iphone. 3) Transferred WhatsApp from my old android phone to current iPhone using move to ios app during Setup procedure. 4) Once setup is complete, WhatsApp will be transferred to iphone. 5) Take a backup of WhatsApp chat to iCloud 6) Do factory reset again 7) this time restore your data from iCloud during next Setup procedure. 8) Once setup is complete, ur whole data will be back as it is. 9) Restore WhatsApp chats from iCloud. It might seem quite long & tiring procedure, but it is not that complicated. :) You will not loose ur WhatsApp data, neither ur current phone data.

On transfer from Android to Iphone it will make you disable security features to prevent installation of malicious software from USB, then in iPhone it asks to disable find my iphone feature, maybe later it also asks to disable PIN. None of these steps are needed for such a simple task.
