Mine has been sitting for 5 minutes, and still hasn't started to transfer. Android phone shows, " time remaining...estimating.." The iPhone shows 10 minutes remaining, but hasn't started either. Is there something wrong?

@@yudhistiradito I didnt switched to iphone. I switched to S23 Ultra and I am super happy. But if you want to transfer all your data from Android to iPhone in a segregated way, I would transfer each photo album separately (or photos from each album separately) and then create the same album on iPhone by adding photos to it.

@@yudhistiradito Yes so its look like this i think. Transfer specific album to the iphone. And then transfer photos from recent to album which you would create in iphone gallery. And do it with all albums from android.

@@kedralive Hi just a heads up that I switched to iPhone 15 a week ago and all my albums on my old Android phone were moved perfectly on my iPhone. So it’s not only showed on recent but literally all albums were moved and well organized based on the date of pics taken (especially from camera album). Super happy and satisfied with Move to iOS app!

@stockstnt8 I ended up transferring my accounts and basic data through the "move to ios" app and for music I just could drag and drop through iTunes and it took care of it, for photos and videos I had to make a folder and then connect the iTunes app to sync with the folder.

I’d say you’d transfer the sim once you have all the desired data transferred.

I recently setup a new iPhone and my old phone was an Android with WhatsApp. Right now my iPhone is a 'Linked' device on WhatsApp. If I reset my iPhone and use the 'Move to iOS' tool to transfer my WhatsApp primary account, can I then continue to restore the iPhone as it was previously? Those apps have their own backup methods you have to login to each one and import your backed up data again

Troubleshooting : if what u need is the text messages (not images docs etc) ... just delete all your whatsapp "storage" in your android phone. or u can cut paste them to harddisk first. then BACKUP whatsapp on your android phone. it should leave u with remaining data around tenths to 100mb. Last step : restart both phones. Then do exactly like mentioned in this video.

People none of these vids are telling you that you can just switch your SIM card if you running phones with SIM cards instead of going through problems with move to iOS and ya keep getting error messages like I did all night and then I go to the T-Mobile store and the rep just switched the sim and told me if ya have to get more files out of ya droid just create a Dropbox for them and transfer them that way so for all of you wondering switching ya SIM card before doing anything else may save you slot of time

So I have an old android (LG V20) and I have music and plenty of music on my phone. In its actual music app, no spotify, Apple music and souncloud like iphone users use to play music or make playlists etc. These songs are on the music widget no actual app. If I were to switch over data and sim etc and transfer video and picture files would my music stay on my old phone? To transfer music you would have to convert your music files to .m4r or .wav, since iPhones support nothing else, and probably do it manually.

From what I've understood from your comment, the app "Move to iOS" needs to be installed on the Android device first, and the transfer process can be done manually after setting up the iPhone, or by doing a factory reset and starting all over again as suggested in the video.
