I just did a kerns strawberry banana juice with a 24 hour fermentation and it turned out perfectly! I am new to this, so when I was transferring the juice into a bottle, I was slightly worried by the lack of physical bubbles. Though the bottom of the jar quickly remedied that with a sudden blast of bubbles everywhere at the end. 😳 I lost about a cup of juice from my panicked jump but it was exciting to see all those bubbles fizzle. The dog made quick work of assisting with the floor clean up. 😅My kiddo was quite happy with it. My husband and I are doing keto, so just fermented veggies for us, but I am so happy knowing every sip my kiddo takes of this sweet treat is feeding her good gut biome.

I love your videos and they've gotten me into fermenting. However, I got it into my head to put celery stalks, whey, sugar and yeast in a closed jar with water, just so I can have it there whenever a recipe calls for it. I left it for several days, burping every day, it was fermenting and getting bubbly. When I finally tasted it was so refreshing and delicious. I really don't know what I made but I liked it, especially for quenching my thirst in these hot summer days.

Yes they are the same. The provider feeds them with molasses which is why they are dark. I switched what type of sugar I fed it and they lightened up. Like the video says, the grains will take on the color of the beverage and molasses water is dark.👍😊

Hey Adrienne!! this has nothing to do with this video but I got a question about pickling and i need help if it’s okay with you💞 i decided to pickle (not ferment) peppers today so i made a 1:1 solution of vinegar and water with some salt. the amount of peppers i had wasn’t a lot, it only filled quarter of the jar and when i poured the solution over it, it covered all of peppers but I didn’t have enough to fill the whole jar and I heard in some videos that i shouldn’t leave an empty space inside. i was rushed so i made another solution but I didn’t measure anything this time I boiled some random amount of vinegar with a random amount of water (I didn’t add salt also) and i used it to fill up the jar fully. then i did the whole pasteurization process. my question is: did i ruin the whole thing by not measuring the second batch of the solution? 😬

I regularly drink milk kefir and water kefir, but I am concerned about the impact of all that avidity on our teeth enamel. Most people like me consume already other acidic foods and drinks like lemons juice in thee, fruits and salad dressings, so many things we eat and drink already contain acidity. While fermented foods are healthy, they are acidic as well and add up to the rest we eat and I really concerned about what negatively affect it may have our tooth enamel. Really like to hear you're openion about that. Thank you.

I won’t attempt it until I hear back from you … TY IN advance
@CleanFoodLiving4 ай бұрын
Hi, over-fermentation is the sign of healthy, active grains.... it is not death to grains. Don't feed grains for a month any new milk and that will kill them... but regular over-fermentation within 1-7 days of being fed... the grains are ok.👍 I don't recommend combining grains from 2 different sources because it will disturb the balance of the already healthy grains. It won't kill them if you do, it will just force them to compete and re-adjust. If it's not needed, don't do it.
