i meant to say that a long time ago... when actually first saw this way of post-processing :). Over the past 17 year being in landscape photography I've watched thousands of hours of diifferent tutorials which helped me to built my own way of processing :). And I don't regret it at all. At least I've learnt Photoshop and it's quite easy to use for me now. But shame I'd met you so late, because I could have spent my time to improve the way of post production you present here and bring it to a better level ;). Thanks Will! All the best.

Hi Will, brilliant video mate, I'm one of the ones you discussed that have been getting so frustrated with the process, which probably says more about me than the editing programs, but the way you have explained this makes it so much easier to understand & enjoyable. Cheers & thanks again, stay safe mate.

I was wondering if you can talk about some of the books I see in your videos in the background. How they inspire you and influence your photography and postprocessing?

Really helpful tutorial, thank you William. It's so easy for amateurs like myself to get lost in the complexity and power of the various post processing applications, which is perhaps why so many are attracted by the "false god" of AI driven processing applications...

Thank you William for this good informative vid. I am also a guy who doesnt really like to do post processing and try to get it in the camera right first, but sure is doesnt work. I like your approach with what you call LCL, I am going to give it a try this way. Thx, greets from Germany Michael

I use the same methods for processing BUT - what do you do about adjustment history when wanting to revert back to a particular adjustment ? Assuming use layers as much as possible ?
@WilliamPatinoPhotography4 ай бұрын
Delete or adjust the brush :)

Why convert to psd or tiff if there is no plan to work on the image in a different editor? I keep edited raw files with the sidecar files and save psd only if I finish image processing in Photoshop.
@WilliamPatinoPhotography3 ай бұрын
Cool. I like to save as a PSD and put them all into a draft then portfolio folder. I don't like keeping edits mixed with RAWs, as I forget what I'm working on.

I guess I’m in the minority, but I enjoy post processing. I love trying different “feels” for an image.

I think when people first start out, the enjoyment level is low because of the uncertainty and frustrations. But it certainly becomes more enjoyable once you know what you’re doing and can achieve desired results :)
