Another one that's not in my current budget. 😞😑🤷🏽‍♂️ Oh well, it is what it is. But WHOA...wtf, Hasbruh...y'all really dropped a Monster Reborn from Yu-Gi-Oh on that fugly pinkish purple (that's more pink than purple) from 2006's Classics Skywarp (and the later release of MP6 Skywarp)!? If Full-tilt and the other purple bits were the exact same shade as the original TR release, then the AotP reissue would be one step away from perfection (that one step away being the leg ratchet issue)...

Not really since I have a Titans return trypticon. So, I am fine with skipping this release. Just my personal thoughts on this.

Its the same but if they went into the mold and changed the plastic its technically a minor retool, its in the definition of remold. Also the leg problem was already fixed in a running change when it first came out im hearing from some people on tfw2005

There was no running change.I'll need the product code because a batch change comes with a slightly different SKU. But as I stated, retool it is not. They really just changed the color and plastic. I have to call it for what it is. It is not up to current standards and I have to call it out. This is why I never bought TR Tryps...but Imma buy this one over getting Tidal Wave.

I like the darker gray, but jeez, that magenta is killing me. I have the Legends version that seemed to have better QC on the legs. If they fix that magenta and make it the right purple, I'm in. Otherwise, I'm good with my Legends version. And 100 that we need a new Metroplex. Mine is disgustingly yellowed...it was my own damn fault but I NEED a new one that isn't $500 lol.

That's not what I heard. I remember people buying him years later and they had to do the fix, so nah that's not it. Unless you know the product code the later releases came under.

So it's basically a Takara Legends Trypticon, but with some detail changes & without the excessive import cost. It would be nice to get some of the smaller Legends stuff in Generations Selects, like the Legends Topspin & Twin Twist with their Targetmaster allies.

Really excited for this - LOVE Trypticon. Another one that never got a UK release back in 86. Prices on the Titans Return one were already getting stupid when I got back into collecting. This plus the Scorponok reissue; can't believe I'm getting both next year! Will look amazing next to my Black Zarak. What a trio to have together :)

I missed out on him the first time & I kick my self as I saw him at Ollie’s but wasn’t in to collecting back then! So I might have to get him just wish they would have done some upgrades to him! I pray they make a whole new metroplex not just a reissue

I never got the Titan release and, for years, was interested in getting him but just did not. However, with this reissue, I AM ALL IN AND WILL BE GETTING THE G1 ANIMATED COLOR TRYPTICON NEXT YEAR!!!!!

@superroboted while I think this is great for anyone who missed out on Trypticon, I feel like Hasbro has dropped the ball with this release. It really should have been Gigastorm. Gigastorm back in the day didn't come with any minions, and this would have been a perfect chance for them to do that and add some more lore to the franchise. On top of that, Gigastorm hasnt had an update since he came out. Full Tilt should have been updated for this release as well. The TF toy line is way different than what it was when that mold 1st came out. At the very least, Hasbro could have given Full Tilt a waist swivel. Also, with ALL the repaints they have done of outdated molds, this feels like a cheap cash grab. Maybe I'm being too hard on Hasbro in that respect, but they as of late don't give molds "time to breathe." I REALLY HOPE they fix the hip ratchet problem. It's a simple fix, but we shouldn't be the ones who have to fix it. I also wonder about the price. I mean, Hasbro, just a few weeks ago, said that Titan Class was 150 now and would be smaller figs, but this Trypticon clearly flies in the face of that statement. So is this 200 bucks or 150? And if it is 200 bucks, why? It doesn't have lights and sounds like Fort Max did. I feel like Hasbro should have said something about that. (If they did, I didn't see it. So correct me if I'm outta line with the pricing.) Are they going to reissue Brunt as well? Are they going to release Trypicons 3rd minion? (Can't think of his name at the moment of typing all of this) I think the switch to non clear plastic is a smart move. I also like the shade of dark grey they went with on Trypitcon. I like the box art. I hope going forward Hasbro sticks with that design. I heard you in your video bring up the box art. Maybe because Trypicon is in new colors, they redid the box art. Unlike Fort Max, who was a reissue of the TR colors.

@@NPUTsReviewsandStopmotion I agree with everything you said. Yeah I see give us a new box because of the darker color I see now. As far as Gigastorm, we needed him like yesterday. It was so bizarre how Takara Tomy Mall just reissued the Legends version, when I really thought they would redeco him to Gigastorm...just like they did Fort Max into Grand Max. Takara dropped the ball because even if they did not want to make lets say have Hasbro make a Selects release, the TT Mall version would have been cool. This is a cash grab fo sho', but I suspect the budget is ever so slgihtly shrinking so they gotta due tricks to make everything look like it's smooth. What sucks is since I do not have a Tryps - and I hope they fix the hip ratchets - I will buy this dagnabbit toy😂!!!

Im getting this version of Trypticon, while the first version was nice the bright color of Grey instead of been darker color was turn off for me so seen him been colored to his G1 cartoon is a plus to me.. I only wish they would do a new mold for Metroplex to be more to his G1 version and as well been more in scale to Trypticon, the titan version of it is good but its to tall and looks skinny.

We’re getting second chances at Siege Omega, Earthrise Scorponok, and TR Fort Max…now Trypticon. Glad to see it. Who knows, but it could be a while before these characters are made again at least for G1.

I have the TR version. Looking at these side by side, I get that earthspark feeling from the new recolor (remember when they were trying to put that baby blue deco in figures), and honestly don't like it. Although if I was into the whole G2 color scheme, like some collectors are, I might consider it, but it's a pass for me.
