I grew up on Cybertron, so I've been having a nostalgic resurgence with the toys recently (my first TF I ever bought with my allowance being Cybertron Breakdown), honestly, as far as toys go, the Cybertron stuff still absolutely holds up. I need to hunt down the "Galaxy Force" Optimus Prime repaint (the black and red one) and this guy! Very cool stuff! (Excellent video as well btw!)

This is the only Megatron I have from the unicron trilogy. I aimed for Megatron because I like how his colors made me think "The Joker stole the batmobile" Great review too. Although, you did forget to extend the cockpit for the vehicle forms.

It is not often you find a review of this guy on KZbin. Plus the best thing about him in the show is that he had the ability to use lightning from the palm of his hands, as if he was a Sith. Truly this Megatron is by far the most powerful one in the Unicron Trilogy. He screams Emperor of Destruction by looking at him in that design attire of his. And he becomes a Batmobile. Ain't that sweet?

I'm absolutely surprised with the amount of articulation that this guy has too. Waist swivel? Double jointed arms? Even the Cybertron Optimus didn't have those! (Granted he was pretty bulky, but they can still easily add a waist swivel)

Agreed. This incarnation of Megatron is probably the most powerful, though in terms of personality, BW Megatron and Animated Megatron are my favourites. BW Megatron was both very charismatic and dramatic. And Animated Megatron was charismatic, but was also calm and calculating and he did not suffer treacherous fools lightly.

I bought this Figure off ebay last week as I've been eyeing it for a bit and trying to get all the Leaders in the Unicron Trilogy. Unfortunately I have to wait as the seller has it at his Parents house and they're afraid to leave the house and he lives too far away to grab it. I'm not complaining they're doing the right thing, just about this whole mess we're all going through right now. I'll get it once it's safe to go out.

I love how not only is this figure massive and hefty with nice, chunky joints, the posability on it is also really good even by WFC\Legacy standards. Whenever Hasbro decides to revisit the design this OG Cybertron Megatron toy's gonna be a tough one to outdo.

I got mine from K-Mart on sale for like $15 about 14 years ago. Wasn't even into Cybertron figures but they didn't have many G1 Classics figures back then for my boys to collect. So I improvised. And looking at this guy today still practically brand new with all of his parts. I am so glad I grabbed him!

I just wanted to point out that there was one small detail missed in the transformation (kinda). The cockpit on his chest is designed to be pulled out for the vehicle forms. I didnt notice until he was flipping the chest down. No harm done, just wanted to make sure people knew.

Can confirm the missiles make a sound. I only have 1 on mine, but if you hit the button hard enough I can get it to make sound without a missile. OH, and I notice you didn't pull out the little cockpit for the vehicle modes. It's a pain to pull out for sure, but it's a thing, so... worth mentioning? lol

@@BertTheStormtrooper I honestly prefer Megatron with a purple and black colour scheme. Grey/silver Megatron figures just look dull to me. The Transformers Cybertron version of Galvatron does make it up for it with the shiny silver paint job though.

@@matthewreynoso6904 I know the black and grey is iconic, but it’s dull to me in most cases. I grew up with Beast Wars Megatron, and watched RiD 2001 and UT anime, so I guess they have ‘coloured’ my perception of Megatron. I can accept grey, black and red, but I do appreciate it when some purple is incorporated like with Prime Megatron and his purple highlights. Also, the Decepticon insignia is purple in most cases, so incorporating purple colours with Megatron makes sense.

Tell me, something; what is the greatest toyline for Transformers that doesn’t include Masterpiece figures? The Transformers Cybertron era and earlier had fireable plastic missiles, electronic lights and sounds as well as being massive in scale.

Do you know if he is able to combine with tidal wave or some other figure? He has these large ports on his arms that get covered up by the purple hand covers. Also loved the review, I have had this figure for a few years (got him at goodwill for $3.50 minus key and missiles) and I never knew he had sounds until you did them! I put some batteries in mine and it actually worked! Thank you for showing that off!

I've heard that these 3: Armada, Cybertron, Energon, are called the Unicron Trilogy. But I honestly don't really see how they're continuous, if they're supposed to be. Looking at all 3 as a whole: Optimus Prime, Megatron/Galvatron, and Starscream are the only ones who have the same voice.

Energon is a direct continuation of Armada with some of the characters still having the same modes from the previous show before changing them and you can hear some of the voice actors going from one character to another. Never could figure out how Cybertron fit into it. Seemed like a whole new story and timeline completely disconnected from the other 2. Thanks for watching!

you had the back a bit mistransformed (though I don't have the figure to compare so I might have it wrong) since the back parts that become the wings and connect at the front are supposed to point down to give a silhouette of an armored caped warlord if you ever do a nemesis breaker (assuming you already didn't do it or Leobreaker combining with Megatron) maybe you could take the opportunity to show the attack where Glavatron formed the front of his car form pointed in front of him which in the show fired an energy blast (and like RID Galvatron's devil ostrich mode and SixShot's WingWolf, was made by playing around with the toy) It's really nice to see cybertron designs and toys still talked about positively since it was essentially my transformers series as a kid and I wished I had the toys for it when I was a kid

@@BertTheStormtrooper The metallic silver paint does help Galvatron stand out, but I think I prefer the purple, black, orange, and light green colour scheme of Megatron. Purple and black looks cooler to me, and it helps him stand out more compared to other versions of Megatron.
