Gotta go with PotP Beachcomber: he only needs a weapon, his vehicle mode (like the TR & PotP Legends class figures of the time) can carry a Headmaster aka Titan Master or even a Prime Master, the robot mode scales better with the previous CW/TR/PotP Legends peeps along with Earthrise Cliffjumper & Buzzworthy Bumblebee Origins Bumblebee. Legacy/Legacy Evolution/Legacy United still hasn't given Deluxes of Windcharger, Powerglide, Seaspray, Gears, Swerve (retooled from Gears), Tailgate (retooled from Windcharger), or Outback (retooled from SS86-22 Brawn), or even the remaining Throttlebots (Creatures Collide has Goldbug, but that's the only one). Doesn't help in the slightest that distribution has been balls to the walls *ABYSMAL* again...I never saw Legacy Evolution Beachcomber in stores around here.

I am going with potp because we don't have legacy versions of seaspray, windcharger, powerglide etc so with the potp I can keep them in scale.

This is a rare case when I like both versions of the figure. While Legacy excels in robot mode and accessories, POTP has those nice extra paint accents on the engine block and hands, and features an Autobot emblem. I don't have a Beachcomber, so I am currently trying to get my hands on the Legacy one.

Great comparison video, mate! 🤩👍 While the Lagacy version seems nice to pose (and roll about), the POTP iteration has loads of interactive play value with Titan Masters & Prime Masters, including their suits; plus the bases from larger toys from the Prime Wars Trilogy ~ just to mention a few. Its vehicle furthermore has 3 mm weapon compatibility with the various arsenal taken from POTP Pretender Armours. Stay awesome! 🎉

Ironically, even though the PotP version doesn't _have_ seats, it (unlike the Legacy version) is designed _to_ seat smaller figures, namely the Titan Masters.

You can't MOUNT the parakeet on the Basic sized Beachcomber, but he CAN _hold_ it because it's a 5mm peg. (I have mine plugged into the side of Legacy Beachcomber's arm)

I love Legacy Beachcomber. POTP was demoted to the 'stay in car mode shelf' once Legacy came out, lol! I'm not one to buy repaints unnecessarily, but would buy another in the G2 green color, since that's the version I had as a kid. Never got to own the original.

Not really. Two of the five were okay, the others were crap. Bumblebee was excellent and ROTB was decent. The best Transformers movie came out in 1986.

POTP is better, his scale is superior. Legacy is just too big.

Beachcomber was the one gap I had left in my 3p collection and i bought the legacy one on a whim since I have pretty stopped collecting except for this singular missing character. the xtransbots was a rickety POS and the fanstoys too big and derpy. I'd not handled a mainline toy since the eighties and I was very surprised by the quality of this piece. Almost wish I had waited before shelling out all that money for a 3p series 1&2 collection.

The Legacy one seems best to me but the hood/feet stays too high in buggy mode. Only for that I'd call him a total win. Love him in robot mode.

Beachcomber is a great character. Personally, I own the Legacy and am very happy with it.
