I literally just got legacy Galvatron today as I didn't ever find the kingdom version. Joints are nice and tight, Properly assembled, and no battle damage paint aps. So glad to get this one for sure.

I hate battle damaged toys but, I like Galvatron so I bought him. The top portion didn't bother me and I thought it looked quite nice. His shins, on the other hand, looks terrible. It looks dirty instead of battle damaged. With that said, I'm not double dipping either. Now, if I didn't already have him, outs a no brainer which one I'm buying.

@@dkkanofkash8798 Yup, I agreed and liked your comment about his plasma bath and maybe that was what the toy designers for Galvatron first had in mind when they decided to make him battle damaged. That battle damaged look adds character and personality to Galvatron and it makes him more of a badass to me ;)

@@johnq.1650 In fact, there's a way to cope with the lower shoulders. His arms simply sagged while he was floating around in that plasma bath! And honestly the lower shoulders don't look nowhere bad. The version of Galvatron I'm getting to treat as him pre-plasma bath is the Generations Selects one, the weird one with the stickers

I have the original kingdom figure, I lucked out, the weathering isn't bad at all, and the shoulders on mine are assembled correctly. I'm glad more people can get their hands on this guy, he's awesome.

Honestly, I have my own reason for wanting to pick up this one while also keeping the original Kingdom Galvatron. And many animators may understand this, I like the idea of having the ability to show off what he’d look like before getting any battle damage, as well as after. And here’s where the animating side of things comes in, I could use the new release for frames and moments before he gets any damage and the original for frames after he gets damaged. Something that I know stop motion animators have had to make effects for by themselves. This sort of thing, personally, could make such things easier depending how you like to do battle damage effects. But this is just my personal ramble on why I’d like to have both.

Literally my only problems with the Kingdom Galvatron, were the arm kibble, the shoulders, and the battle damage And this fixes 2 of those 3 issues This is an easy pick-up for me, thanks for the comparison video!

A nice consequence of the Legacy reissue is some stores have relegated the Kingdom line to the Clearance section. Was in a store the other day that had both Galvatrons, with Kingdom being half the price of Legacy. Got lucky with the shoulders and quite like the battle damage so well pleased.

I found this video less than 10 minutes after it was uploaded. Also, some people say the battle damage on the siege figure looks terrible, personally though, I don’t mind it, so if I ever got the chance to get this guy or kingdom Galvatron, it would probably be up o which one looks better.

I don't need a 4th version of this mold when the only difference is the removal of the battle damage. I did not find the battle damage too terrible looking on him. It's such a great figure though, I am glad this gives others the opportunity to get him for MSRP.

I actually got lucky and found this guy yesterday at target he was the only one and I snatched him so quick from the shelf no lie, I actually enjoy both releases, I like that kingdom galvatron because he's more or a less the marvel galvatron traveling and meddling with time. The legacy version is basically the movie one, it would be cool to see him in proper colors one day but until then, it'll be my 86 movie galvatron

I have the Kingdom version of Galvatron but I have removed the battle damage and added show-accurate detail specifically to his chin, red squares on the top of his shoulder towers, and applied black paint around his feet to my copy.

I have KI Galvatron. I'll stick with him even with the messed up shoulders. Maybe if they used a purple similar to the Selects version for the main color or a dark blue color from the movie, I would be tempted.

I literally slept on everything Kingdom as QC hasn't exactly been great for a good number of years, but having grabbed Legacy Bulkhead and seeing the improvement all around giving a couple of these Legacy figs a chance. Leader Energon Megatron is the closest I've ever owned to having a Galvatron and basically every release or attempt since has failed on one level or another. Kingdom/Legacy looks to have finally done Galvatron justice with a proper size class, and without some gimmick prohibitive alt mode. Just ordered this one through Amazon with the Legacy Laser Prime. Really glad to see the scratches go, evidently tighter joints, and QC fixes. Really surprised though not to see any wrist articulation as its a Leader class figure, but other than that it's the best Galvatron Hasbro has managed and it's about time too lol.

I'm going to get this verison of Galvatron, when I can pre-order it, my copy of the Kingdom suffers from the shoulder error, I put stickers of the con symbol on top of those holes but honestly, I would just like to see a more normal verison and I don't feel confident in attempting the fix, if only they had used screws instead of pins for the shoulders, it would make me far more confident!

I think it looks great. And I’m getting it for sure. But i gotta vent here. How hard is it to make a Galvatron with a solid orange cannon and painted goatee. The only figures that do are the reaction figure and RED. I really wanted this one to do it. All Galvatron had clear orange cannons but g1 it wasn’t. It’d be nice to finally get one with that color and the painted goatee. Which when I get this I’m doing it myself.

I love this figure it is very accurate to the 86 movie. The one thing I’ll say is that he is not blue contrary to belief he only looks blue in that one scene for a brief moment because of him being formatted. In the show he is also purple. Cyclonus is also a light shade of purple as seen on the kingdom. I really don’t like the translucent orange for the plasma canon so I will most likely paint it a matt orange myself to be more cartoon accurate as I’ve never cared for Hasbros obsession with toy accuracy. Xx

I purchased Legacy Galvy from BBTS because Kingdom was out of stock. It sat in my Pile of Loot for some time, and when I finally decided to ship it, Kingdom came back in stock, at a 10% discount even. Could've saved myself some money and also got the better looking one(I like battle damage lol). Oh well, it is what it is.

super late but when I was out shopping one time I skipped out on Kingdom Galvatron for Ultra Magnus, which seemed to be the better desicion, mainly due to the shoulders. the battle damage, I didn't mind, but I appreciate the cleaner colours of this Galvatron. hope to pick one up soon!

Just got back into collecting, (used to be an mp, and ov g1 collector never out of box) and picked him up for $34 usd as opposed to the $55 they were charging at my local Walmart. Studio series Hot Rod is also on his way, and can't wait to pose them both!
