Interestingly in the launch video for this figure, they did show him brings his hands close together and doing that “scheming finger” thing, they mistransformed the arms a little bit but not as extreme as you showed here, so it is possible to do without looking too wacky

THANK YOU for showing us a good view of the jet mode without the weapons stored. Personally I really don't care about weapon storage since most of the time they make the alt mode look stupid. The jet mode looks a lot more streamlined and tolerable now compared to what I've been seeing. Keep up the good reviews!

Ball joints loosen up quicker than hinges or swiv- rotations, so thats why they aren't used on masterpiece figures.

Heads up , the ankles are not supposed to move forward and back. They lock in place, it's a strong lock, so you need to push a bit harder than you might think. Makes him extreme stable.

got to panel line it and black wash with thin acrylic black layer for cinematic look. Very quick and easy too, I do it all the time with gunpla or mechs, even action figures , it makes a great difference in tone and shading- even simulated burn marks. Black washes dont need fine detailing, the inertia of the water does most of the work.

I do really like these transformers and I do like you can transform them. But like you said, overtime if you transform them the taps can overtime break or getting lose. I think what ultimately hurts this figure the most for me is that all the problems with it accumulate into a bigger problem, despite none of them really being huge dealbreakers by themselves. -Bad color scheme -Lack of bicep swivel/lack of ball jointed head/lack of waist swivel -Poor feet stability -Unsightly buttflap -Unsightly robot mode kibble in jet mode None of these on their own would've dissuaded me much from buying this, but together, I'm starting to reconsider. No denying that sculpt wise it looks incredible but I can't help feeling that they could've done a lot better in certain areas.

Looks like a lot of unpainted parts. Also looks like it would benefit from some die-cast. It also looks like it could easily have had a butterfly joint at the shoulder, and those weak ankles seems like they would drive me crazy. Think I may just stay with my old Leader Class, especially for the price. I collect mostly G1 MP scale and these Takara/Hasbro prices are getting out of control. I purchase a lot of Fans Toys and there just is not a comparison in paint, material, hardware and now price. It makes little sense to me that 3rd Party are now cheaper and better quality then official. Thank-you for the review. After being disappointment with the paint, material and hardware on the Megatron I am glad to be able to give this a miss. If the MPM line doesn't start putting better hardware and paint on these expensive figures I know I will start looking a KOs a bit more seriously.

Hmmm, jet mode looks better in Studio Series release. Yeah, robot mode looks very accurate but i prefer a balance between both modes. I know they are built for be exhibed in robot mode y vehicle is in less priority but for me both modes should look like CGI models. Even the Studio Series has better landing gear and robot mode looks very well for a voyager class figure.
