Transformers MP-58 Hoist. A bit too cartoon accurate?

Oddly enough as the season 2 autobot character designs were closer to the original toys this version of Hoist is much closer to his toy design down to the weird legs

I like the way he looks, the cartoon accuracy makes him look so much doofier than the fans toys version.

I am the one that likes the cartoon version better then the real toy version. So to me he is perfect. I may not get him since I don't really have the room anymore for my Masterpiece but maybe for 4 or 5 MP so I am waiting for some of my favorites if they will ever do them (Jazz Astrotrain & Goldbug) the 3 I mayly wanted. I do have Trailbreaker so I know how he is and Trail is also a perfect MP.

I like it, I have the first release of the Xtransbots version, I am torn between this one and the Hitch from Fans Toys.

I dont have Hitch, but I like the bot mode more from the pics I see. The Truck mode on the official is nice, and officially licensed. I cant help but to think thats where the money went with this release.

@@GhostPrimeReviews The Fans Toys one to me is great, but the head just does not scream Hoist to me, unlike the official one, or the X Transbots version.

I'm a kid of the '80s and 90s so a Transformer can't be too cartoon accurate! Especially since the Alternatives were stubby armed limited articulation disappointments. They couldn't move anything like their animated counterparts except in vehicle mode

Nice figure but I think FansToys wins this battle. To me MP Hoist felt fragile when trying to transform it. I’m think of getting the FansToys and maybe selling the MP Hoist. Thanks for the review!

The problem with Chinese 3rd Party companies is that that they have zero safety control. What if the Fanstoys Hoist has lead in the paint?

Great review, but sometimes the engineering of the "masterpiece" line baffles me - all that work to end up with a head and shoulders assembly which is basically the same as G1 Hoist! But that hollow chest....eww!

Yeah, the frosted window "helps" a bit, but it looks worse in person than on camera IMO
