For an animation studio that never really handled many theatrical releases in recent years (Paramount animation), the animation IS groundbreaking! The textures, coloring, lighting and everything is top notch. This film had great art direction behind it, and ILM is the goat for animating transformers be it live action or animated. It pretty much broke into the Disney/dreamworks hegemony of animation quality

This movie was so good, I absolutely loved it! It was everything I wanted out of a TF movie, and I'm so glad the humor was toned down. In the latter half as we see Megatron starting to turn, I'm glad they let certain moments simmer, rather than having Bee chime in. I hope it does well on streaming, since I so desperately want a sequel!

I loved this movie so much! Some of the celebs felt like it could have been anyone in their role, but if Chris Hemsworth and ESPECIALLY Brian Tyree Henry, decided they were willing to voice Optimus and Megatron in a new Transformers animated series, I would not at all be upset about it.

The similarities in shots and composition where Primus brings in Orion Pax and reincarnates him at Optimus mirroring the shots from '85 Transformers movie where Unicron pulls in Megatron to reincarnate him as Galvatron was just *chef's kiss*.

Just got back from seeing it in cinemas, and yes, it lived up to the hype. Seeing the relationships between the characters grow and change as it goes along, it all felt natural, even if you know what’s coming. If it’s still in cinemas in your area, go see it if you get the chance. Otherwise, definitely give it a watch when it hits the digital platforms

I got back into the franchise at the right time frame. I was giving myself a TF marathon for the past few months and with that said, this movie reminded me why I enjoyed Transformers to begin with. I absolutely LOVE this movie. It deserved so much better. But, Paramount has stated that they are keeping an eye on the DVD sales to sees if it truly peeks more interest in a sequel, which hopefully it does because it deserves it. Also, about the score… Brian Tyler, the main composer, also worked on Transformers Prime. I was fangirling to myself in theaters from hearing certain musical elements that were incredibly reminiscent to the series. That alone was a treat to the ears. ❤

There’s 3 Things I have to clarify, 1. I’m ok with the Quintessons not showing up, I’m aware how much of a Threat they are but the whole point of this Movie is how Optimus Prime and Megatron began the Formation of the Autobots and Decepticons, IF the Quintessons had appeared more often it would ruin the Film and we won’t get any Sentinel Screen Time, 2. Elita wasn’t the one that had the Idea of using Arachnid to Expose Sentinel, It was Orion who did a Quick Thinking when Arachnid said “I can see Everything” showing how Clever Pax is with his Sharp Edge and Mind, and 3. Bee was done good enough, I get that the Character didn’t evolve but Bee has done Well Enough, his presence is literally the Beginning to Pax and D16’s Journey to who they are destined to become as it was a Red Flag when they found out that there’s 50 Sub Levels instead of 40, his Creation Steve has the Map, and while I thought he was going to ruin the Movie with the Comic Relief I’m surprised there’s Layers of Humanity especially when Sentinel captures him and Dee and Dee stood up when Bee didn’t want him to stand up because he doesn’t want to see his Friends Hurt, like the Quintessons I’m pretty sure Bee will Develop especially when he losses his Voice in the War, anyway this Movie was amazing, not only is it one of the Best Movies of 2024, but it’s clearly the Best Transformers Movie of all Time, the Voice Casting was Great, the Story with the Evolution of Optimus Prime and Megatron is Interesting and Heartbreaking, Sentinel Prime is one of the Best Modern Villains in a Long Time that he’s definitely giving Homelander Vibes, and the Animation and Setup are Flawless, 10 out of 10, I’m hoping this gets a Trilogy because it deserves it and I would love to see more content from this and the Franchise.

I remember going to an advanced screening. I wanted to watch it in the city(Sydney) but there were massive train delays and I ended taking a detour to Chatswood. 2 hours Pymble to Hornsby. Hornsby to Epping. Epping to Chatswood. I caught the last session of the night. And I wasn't in the right mood. I found it alright. Then I read the reviews, a lot of people seemed to like it... except for IGN. I figured did I miss something. I decided to give it a second go. Only this time in IMAX. Sydney had a new one for a while. OMG. I was blown away. THE BIG SCREEN, THE SOUND. THE RECLINERS! This was how it was meant to be watched. And there was an audience, 2 families, and some adults who looked like tf fabs with their optimus and megatron shirts, unlike the advance screening where there were like 5 people. It was a much better experience. I got to enjoy certain scenes more, ones that I overlooked before. I feel like buying it for my digital collection this week.

It was a solid flick. I grew up on G1 and while One abbreviated a few major things from the TR multiverse of stories, it was fun in a way the Bayverse films never were. My 2 major complaints: 1) Alita-1 started off as Ariel and then got reformatted just like Pax in lore so I would have loved to see her get a glow-up, too. 2) The Hero(TM) being voiced by blonde-over-blue white dude while The Villain(TM) was voiced by an amazing talented black actor. You can fill in the subtext there. And then there is Jon Hamm at his Jon Hammiest.

I walked into this film knowing very little of it except from the trailer I saw. I walked out highly surprised with how deep of the re-introduction of the whole lore of the franchise it went into into the first half hour. Bravoooo Team, I highly enjoyed the humour in all of it between working class, class of cars etc as well very well written. Goood special effects as well as a steady pace. The team understood this assignment extremely well and is wanting more stuff like this. I also personally felt this would be a real good introduction to the franchise-re-introduction into the series as well.

The composer also did the score for Transformers Prime, even referencing that OST in one of this movie's tracks. Another track in this film during a major third act moment references an iconic moment during the old 80s movie. And not it is not The Touch, it's the OTHER iconic Optimus scene from that film, y'know the scene if you've watched TFTM. Traumatised an entire generation

Movie was REAL fun Relatively face paced, lots to explore, REAL Pretty Sights, References everywhere... But there are a few story things in it that made me go "Oh, they're changing that... I Liked the other one better" But they also kinda Referenced those things... Like the Fact that Orion Pax isn't an Archivist here, or a Security Bot... Obviously the best version is the one where he was an Archivist, which I think was Introduced in Transformers: Prime, and it's from studying the History of transformers that he found a way to become Optimus Prime. But it's at least Referenced with him being IN the Archives in the first Scene and them more or less telling us that he's been there before... Tied to that, Megatron's origin as a Gladiatorial Fighter who fought his way to becoming a Folk Hero against the Oppression of Either Quintessans or the Upper class of Transformers (Based on what Vehicle Mode they were born with), but who eventually let himself get corrupted by his Rage... There's hints of that here, with his Rage building in a Similar way after he learns things, but it's not as epic as "Centuries of Fighting in the Pits till he fought his way OUT to become Leader of the Decepticons"... Also, there's an ABSURDLY Fast "Blink and you Miss it" Joke early in the movie that you NEED to know the Franchise to Get that made me Smile... Orion says "Trust me I've got the touch!"(Or something to that effect), and Elita One just slaps him away from what he was doing and tells him "No, you don't have the Touch, and you don't have the Power!", which is a reference to the song "the Touch" from the First animated Transformers Movie's Soundtrack...

Andre is underselling how awesome this movie is to noobies like me who've only ever seen glimpses of the series, and thought the liveaction bayformers were just stupid, if fun for the few scenes of transformers that were in them (devoid of bay's human characters). You Could call the plot simplistic, like a basic hero's journey for Orion/Optimus. But DAMN did they execute it Flawlessly! Really made me into an Optimus fanboy, like he's basically the Shawn Fain-bot, leader of the Autobots union against elites

Agree. And it feels like the people who wrote TF ONE actually like Optimus's as a character. There are just a ton of TF media where the writers outright dislike Optimus as a character (IDW, Earthspark, TF Netflix series), or just don't know him at all (Michael Bay) TF One Optimus is a character I know why people will follow. He is breave, heroic, loyal, and tried to defend the poeple around him.
