Thank you so much for you two cents Rodimus! Me and my brother watched "One" in theaters together, and we were both rather surprised by it. Because of the early marketing, we honestly thought it was going to be lighthearted like others were expecting, but instead both our expectations were completely sold! We we're really impressed by the darkness, the plot twist with Sentinel Prime, and my goodness those premium graphics! My only nitpick was the fact that because it was focused on the main 4, the other cameos were just cameos. So we pray that they'll be making a sequel as well. Until then, I got some more collecting to do!

I saw it with my brother too! It was a lot of fun in the beginning of the film to point out which characters we recognized. It’s a theatre experience I’ll always remember because of that.

I’m writing this on the day I saw the movie so it’s still fresh on my mind. Yes there will be spoilers with my thoughts. So, here’s my 2 cents: B-127: Yes there are a few times where his chattering can be obnoxious, But the way the story presents it is actually quite clever. Being a garbage man on the lowest levels with little to no contact with anyone, you get the idea that he’s going stir crazy from the cabin fever. It completely explains why he’s so eager to talk to everyone or just talk in general and K-M Key delivered that great. Elita-1: She’s a hardline and somewhat selfish worker that’s only interested in her own resume, and the movie clearly presents it as a character flaw that she needs to improve on. I can give the writers points for that and ScarJo also delivered that great. Orion Pax: Chris Hemsworth was amazing, you could tell he was trained by Peter Cullen. You can hear him shift from a young Orion to a gentle stoic Optimus through the film. D-16: Wow, brian tyree henry was just…wow. I criticized his portrayal in the first trailer by saying “Ask yourself if you can see THIS character becoming a ruthless tyrant.” Well I definitely see it now. You see him start as a miner that just wants to keep his head down and work his way up in life. Once he realizes his life has been a lie, you can see and hear just how broken his spark was. He gets more aggressive and bloodthirsty to accomplish his goals and turns into the evil he yearns to destroy. Alpha Trion: I mean come on, who hasn’t wanted Morpheus to play Alpha Trion? Enough Said. Sentinel Prime: Being an arrogant, pompous, tailpipe in TFAnimated is one thing. Making a deal with Megatron and shooting Ironhide in the back in DotM is another thing. But murdering the thirteen Primes and selling out your entire species to the Quintessons, while at the same time, removing t-cogs from young bots to keep them as underclass peasant workers is a whole other type of evil. This has to be the darkest portrayal of Sentinel Prime ever. Likes: -The aesthetics are very colorful and eye catching. The designs in Iacon as well as the natural looking style on the surface. -Starscream and Soundwave sounded good and their characterizations were on point. -The way the developers incorporated the transformations into the fighting. It’s a small thing but it really does make way to much sense for a species called “Transformers.” -The funny references sprinkled throughout. Two that stood out to me were Elita saying that Orion “doesn’t have the touch or the power” and later calling him and his friends “Go Bots” -The moments at the climax where D-16 becomes Megatron and Orion becomes Optimus Prime are juxtaposed between each other fantastically. Dislikes: -The Quintessons didn’t get much development, you wouldn’t even really know how dangerous they are if you didn’t already know the lore. It’s just: They’re here, they’re scary looking, and they do bad things Got it? Great let’s move on. -Arachnid isn’t really a main villain as much as just another underling with a gimmick. -Shockwave having so much emotions. Now I know that Shockwave has from time to time displayed emotions on occasions but the idea behind him is that he has expelled most of his emotions in favor of cold and calculating logic. Now one could make the case that this takes place before he expelled his emotions but there isn’t really much given to imply that it’s the case here. -The Music. Brian Tyler did the great music for TFPrime and he returns here to compose TFOne. Unfortunately, the music didn’t stand out for me. Not that it was bad, it just didn’t grab my ears like Prime’s music did. There was one brief moment in the cave of the 13 Primes where I heard some of the chords from the TFPrime main theme but that was about it. Changes I Would Make: -The scene were Optimus banishes Megatron and the High Guard, Two little alterations want. First, Megatron Starts limping away and he stops for a moment, looks over his shoulder at Optimus, THEN says “This isn’t over…Prime.” Second, he turns to his followers and instead of saying “High Guard, Follow Me!” He says “To Me My High Guard!” In the end, I could see a War for Cybertron tv series being made off of this. “Transformers, Clone Wars” essentially.

I went to the drive in & saw Tf: One w/ my wife & son (casual fans @ best) who both loved it a lot; we are planning to see it again. It was well written & respected SO much lore from many sources. TfCon Baltimore will be so awesome! I signed up to be a volunteer again.

TF One is going to end up being the only movie I’ve ever seen in theatre’s twice. It was that good.

One narrative point I really liked, after all the build-up to D-16 becoming Megatron would be when he'd kill Sentinel, it was actually his choice to let Orion die. Killing Sentinel just sealed the deal.

Sentinels death was a lot darker than I expected out of this film. One of the best scenes in the film, in my opinion at least. What was your favorite scene?

@@darrenheideman2546 the “Arise…Optimus Prime” was an amazing scene! I loved how it echoed the 86 movie with “Arise Rodimus Prime” the whole sequence of Orion falling into the core while Megatron proclaimed himself leader was amazing too.

@@TheBabyCaleb And the new origin for the Autobot and Decepticon names. Design wise, Alpha Trion's alt mode was my favorite. Maybe it will bring more awareness to the Haetae.

Let's just hope that the very excellent reviews on rotten tomatoes is enough to still say that we love Transformers One and want/need more, I want to see Hot Rod now that I know that Hot Rod was in the race, if you pay attention to the names on the leader board before it changes name you can see Hot Rod on the leader board, please go see the movie as much as you can, Transformers Fans All Are One🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️

Loved this film. Easily an 11/10 for me, the voice acting, the fight scenes, the animation, the story, the characters, they were all great! Best experience I’ve had in a movie theatre. Also, you probably said this somewhere, but what are your thoughts on Chris Hemsworths Optimus Prime? People will disagree with me but I think he’s nearly as good as Peter Cullen 😅

I would call this movie a "popcorn" flick. That is, one not to be taken seriously and just for fun. I think that they spent a lot of time on silly stuff when that time could have (should have) been spent on what makes the big D tick. ... bleep me did they think about D16's name at all?! Come on! Anyway, they playfully punch each other and are good friends, although Pax gets D into trouble, its not like D couldn't stop the race himself and bail. So IDK... we get to where D wants revenge - this should have been the turning point, he wants to kill, Pax does not. That is where the two must diverge and in a more serous version, that would have been built into who D was, but I just didn't see that. Perhaps we will get that version at some point, but this was not that. It doesn't have to be, it did what it did fine. Also "Till all are One" I did like the line "You don't have the power or the touch!" ... but I was sad that none of the music made it in. :/

The name was a nod to the Japanese release in which his # (that on the box) was D-16- D for Destron & 16 for the order of his release.

I think I disagree with you on that. D-16 is a good name for Megatron before he becomes Megatron, and the movie (for me) is fun but also has its serious moments. Throughly enjoyed it! But this is just my opinion

Any time you do a spoiler talk video you should put the "Spoiler Alert" block from TFWiki in the thumbnail. If you have Origins Jazz you could put him in place of the actual image? But if not, the default image of G1 Jazz's Cybertronian alt mode is fine.
