Starscream turned out a lot better than I would have expected. Design is great, and finally decent in hand weapon wielding. That engineering/transformation though again very involved for a voyager release. Prime, and Strascream are definitely leading as best in this subline of Studio Series. Would be cool to see what can be done with a Voyager Class Brawl.

I've had him for roughly 3 weeks now and yeah next to Optimus he's the best of the GE figures. My biggest problem at first was how the wings rotated but despite the cockpit being a size too big Screamer is awesome. Now naturally we just need to wait for Skywarp and Thundercracker and our seekers will be complete

I am mixed on Studio Series nowadays, due to the fact that most of the gamer edition and live action figures this year have weird inaccuracies for them being the "most accurate representations of the figures". This Starscream has a wide cockpit, Scorponok is purple instead of red (though at least it makes him look like the Beast Wars version which is cool), Pablo has the back wheels in the wrong place in robot mode when the mainline got it correct, and Shockwave has no bicep swivel when the cheaper version has one. It's not like this is an issue for this year only, as last year had the entire gamer edition being either terribly designed or missing details, and ROTB Optimus Prime not having joints the Bumblebee version had.

Yeah those issues mentioned above are not good. But honestly I think studio series is much better designed overall now than how it was a few years back. Some of the earlier waves were gonna kinda bad 😅

One thing I don't like about Gamer Edition Starscream is that his forearms are FLAT AS A BOARD, even though his in-game model had bulky arms. Hopefully an upgrade kit will fix that issue. Also, I agree with you on giving the cockpit some more grey paint to look more game accurate. It's not impossible, and if you really want to, go the extra mile and repaint the whole figure so u don't have to worry about unmatching paint colors.

The cockpit looks like an orange maggot/larva, but i do believe painting the sides silver would help a massive amount. I just wish Megatron was bigger, cuz he was the largest class in game and noticeably larger than everyone except the other tanks.

I was hesitant at first as well but now after having in my hands I do like him. His head sculpt is great and very close to the game (I'm playing FoC right now). So very pleasant bot and alt mode is and well done I think. Good stuff.

He’s just one of those toys that you need to have in hand before you give your opinion on it. I for one love this figure and I can’t wait to get him in hand. Definitely looking forward to the Skywarp/Thundercracker repaints and hopefully more. The DS version of WFC also had Dirge and Ramjet but no Thrust but I’m sure Hasbro will be happy to do some creative freedom to make him and complete the Coneheads and hopefully many more Seekers after that 🎉 I love SSGE

Figure looks pretty great. You're right that the cockpit being oddly large is the main drawback. I also still think the wings are a bit too small in alt mode, but overall a cool looking cybertronian jet. I think a possible DNA kit would include a better cockpit, slightly bigger wings, and maybe a second null ray gun, just for G1 sake.

I think this will be the first gamer edition fig I pick up. I really like Starscreams level in WFC, and I hate the null ray so much as a weapon that it would be funny to have one irl (seriously, in what situation is the null ray good in? Low ammo, crazy scope, it looks stupid, and low versatility in general. The other sniper rifle (battle pistol? Idk) is better in every way)
