Instead of Tidal Wave, I imagined them with that Beast Wars Sharkticon battleship. I called it Threaher because his tail became a whip in robot mode. Like Flying Mind, Thresher had a will of its own. And its primary goal was to be able to transform again. So it sent raiding parties to find anything that might help. The pirates have no clue. They think they are pillaging of there own free will. The hero of the story at first seems like he wants revenge against the pirates, then betrays the knights to join the pirates but in reality he wants to save the crew from Thresher's thrall.

The fact that the only characters who could hold their own against Transformers Prime Megatron were Optimus Prime, Soundwave, and Thundertron instantly proves that Thundertron was a viable and serious threat that even Megatron would be more wary of facing in combat. Because Megateon probably sees a lot of both himself AND Starscream in Thundertron. And THAT is a VERY DANGEROUS Combination that NOBODY wants to have to deal with and would much rather avoid all together. If the Star Seekers had made it into a fourth season of Transformers Prime or as a main antagonist cast in Robots in Disguise as the eventual final villains then that would've been awesome. They probably would've also been the ones to expose Cybertronians to the world and blown the Autobots cover and further complicate any and all actions taken to counter them by involving humans into their threats. Steeljaw would've honestly fit perfectly into this as the Starscream to Thundertron's Megatron if you will. Only the key difference being that Steeljaw actually gets results and would be much more dangerous because he's better at hiding his true motives and constantly scheming nature, having fooled his leader whos much more unstable then Megatron. Now THAT could've been awesome conclusion to Robots In Disguise 2015. It'd also be a subtle nod to the Aligned Continuity Steeljaw being a completely different character and total departure from the Autobot Minicon from G1 as having Steeljaw frequently bash heads against his leader Thundertron with the back and forth Lion and Wolf alt modes. I would've loved to have seen thus character dynamic and it would've made people a lot more receptive to the cast of rag tag Decepticon stragglers and escapees being the villains if the series. But instead they were more isolated and on their own which proved to not be as developed of a plan to carry out. It also would've negated the need to bring Optimus Prime back so early and have Bumblebee and his new team more time to grow and develop on their own into a more fluent team working alongside Optimus in the final season only. And it would've added more mystery and intrigue to what happened to Optimus and why he was purposely choosing to leave Bumblebee to his own devices and to discover his path to leadership himself instead of having to firce friction between them when they were perfectly capable of working together before in Transformers Prime. And it would've negated the need to effectively "write out Decepticons" from the plot of the Aligned Continuity and would've seen more beloved characters return from Prime and be featured more regularly. Like having Knockout potentially join Bumblebee's team as their medic and further developing as a redemption arc to becoming an Autobot in nature but still proudly more Decepticon. Acknowledging his side lost the war but there were now more important things to worry about and as such becoming more acceptive to toning down his cruel and sadistic nature even opening up to a potential human ally cast member and learning from them. It also would've been amazing to see Knockout interact with Steeljaw and Knockout probably would've developed conflictions against him as he probably saw Starscream very apparent in Steeljaw but also a bit of himself and further reinforcing Knockout's choice to become an Autobot instead. Realizing that he made the right choice and can't go back to being just an opportunist with no real substance or stake at risk. That also would've been an amazing character dynamic with Steeljaw as we saw him still be like in Robots in Disguise 2015. Steeljaw in that show is just a great similar yet contrasting character to have interact with these other characters with different hints of his personality. Maybe someday we'll see something like this with the Star Seekers when they eventually make their grand maiden voyage into a form of main media for the franchise. Also last little side note, Enemy would've made for a hilarious potential brief cameo episode with the Star Seekers before Thundertron would've gitten fed up with him and taken him offline. Just an incredibly mouthy small angsty and volitile Minicon who could've transformed into a reusable Bomb projectile to be thrown by the Star Seekers in battle would've been pretty hilarious and amusing. And mark the first time this quite possibly most obscure character in the franchise made an actual TV appearance.

I have a head cannon crew written for my show! * Captain Thundertron * First Mate Thunderblast * Wreckage (Mixed with his movie design and Crumplezobe) * Ransack (Based on Cybertron mostly) * Cannonball * Bludgeon * The Seacons, all of them * and Space Warp as both their ship and a pirate. Lockdown, in my show, is already the leader of the mercenary faction and hates the pirates/star seekers.

My "Mercenaries" which I assume you are referring to are... * Lockdown * Crosshairs * Ripclaw * Runabout * And Runamuck cause both teams need a duo * And the Combaticons Soundblaster, in my show, is just an upgraded Soundwave... this time upgraded by Unicron. Doubledealer isn't a mercenary... cause he's the guy who gives OUT the jobs. Bugbite isn't a Mercenary cause I don't know how I would make him any different than just an evil Bumblebee. Nightbird is apart of a drone army of Nightbirds led by Shockwave.

Love the pirate-speech in the intro! Avast there! I'm relatively new to Voltron, but Thundercats I've known for a long time. Knowing that those were the basis for the name Thundertron is super cool! I also love the revelations of who was a part of the crew in the different stories. My friend and I are gonna depict the Star Seekers as a ragtag group of Cybertronians from the colonies, led by Thundertron, aboard the starship Eternal Flight, with members from different colony worlds, not belonging to either Autobot or Decepticon. Who knows what the future has in store for them as they launch themselves on a quest to find a far-off place to call home.

This is a very unique faction of Transformers that I would have liked to see in a Transformers TV show or movie, either animated or live action, because it's rare that we ever get a big enough faction of Cybertronians outside of the Autobots and Decepticons. I really hope that with new Transformers projects on the horizon, we could possibly get to see the Star Raiders in full, glorious and detailed animation that really does them justice. It's always good to add another faction to the Transformers Universe. Especially when you could pretty much do whatever you want with the characters. Leave them as pirates and raiders. Or even turn these scattered Transformers into an all powerful empire. That keeps the Autobots and Decepticons fighting for their existence. Like the Huns did over the Western and Eastern Roman Empires.

While not canon; I think Seacons (The first space pirates from BWII) were part of the Star Seekers but Thundertron and Halfshell didn't see optic to optic (Cannonball secretly weeping fake rumors to Thundertron and Halfshell so both would eventually fight each other in hope both would destroy each other, Cannonball would take Sate seekers) so Halfshell took his crew and broke out from Star Seekers.

Considering the BWII is set in future I prefer to see the Seacons as the descendants/successors of the Star Seekers/Raiders as I doubt Thundertron and Cannonball would still be around considering Cybertron is at peace

The whole story of the Aligned Continuity by Rik Alvarez's account is so funny. He created this whole vast bible full of concepts and characters and claimed it was going to last the franchise ten years, and then nearly every other person involved, especially those working on the franchise's big flagship of Transformers Prime, went "hmm, no, that sounds kind of dumb", and ignored it. Then again, Alvarez's big post-Transformers work consisted of a failed Kickstarter for overpriced third-party Pretenders that he insisted weren't just the Pretenders, so maybe they were on to something.

I wonder if the original plan for Dreadwing would've been for him to defect from the decepticons and join the Star Seekers after he found out what happened to Skyquake. Only to have it changed to him dying either because of the budget cuts or because the were going in a different creative direction. It would explain the abruptness of his death.

Thundertron being a resentful survivor in a way, makes sense. If there are knights, there are pirates that resented the very people who were supposed to defend them. What be overthinkin' a blue curtain does to ye mind, scallywag! Being a combination of two franchises that failed to adapt since one became a punching bag for cartoon critics (thundercats roar!), and the other was fed to a remorseless side of twitter (fandom, netflix voltron). Thundertron barely escaped the carnage and hated the surviving IPs from the 90s, upon noting that TMNT and DuckTales was thriving as well, not just The Transformers. Very meta.

I'd like to think that after the war and the Decepticons were disbanded she was taken in by the Star Seekers who helped her find a new purpose in life and she would become just as loyal to her new family as she was with the Cons.
