Nope this was an official Hasbro product it initially was produced and aired by Machinima but Hasbro paid them to do it and the writer from this was originally slated to write Siege, but I have no idea weather or not he was ever taken off the project.

I don't mind gods in transformers as long as they're either subtle or are rare but mean big business when they do show up. My only problem with the 13 Primes was when introduced for the first time in toy form. They were just cheap McGuffins that didn't do anything or look cool for the toys.

Unpopular opinion: I think Jon Bailey did an alright job as Optimus. I know Peter is the main man for the role, but I think Jon did alright with what he’s given. Plus him being part of the series makes it feel more like an indie series. Like Peter as a part of this series gives it too much legitimacy than it deserves.

To be honest, I really liked the show, I liked the animations, and the voicing was ok. The only things I didn't like were the toys looking nothing like the show, and what you said at 5:33. In my opinion, it was an 7/10 for me.

No. 12/24 frames of animation are *not* the same amount of effort/cost in CGI. I have no idea where you got that idea. Also, it’s clearly a stylistic choice here. I got the idea from going to college and getting a degree in CGI animation. It's literally exactly the same, you just do everything EXACTLY the same and then tell it to render in fewer frames. And no it's not a stylistic choice here, because there'd be no reason to make, it, and they stopped doing it as the serries dragged on. This isn't like into the Spiderverse where they were trying to do a comic book thing, and even there it was hideous to look at lowered frames but it made sense for what they were doing. So it wasn't a stylistic choice but even if it was, it it was a stupid awful ugly one that makes no sense.

To give them the benefit of the doubt they could have gone through and posed the characters for each and every frame of the lower frame rate to maximize the how good it looks. That would be an unholy amount of work. How ever this doesn't look like that, this looks like they animated it like normal and then just set it to render at half the number of frames. The most logical reason to do that would be to save on Render time, if you are doing it at half the frames it'll take half the time. Though I don't ascribe logic to the people who made the show.

Ok, about that "nobody likes 13 Primes" Yeah, this is part of plore that makes no sense, outside of feeling like turining transformers creation story to typical mythology, breaking how Primus origin was almost perfect and good lore, and making it forced pantheon, as if creators couldn't stand having original idea for creation lore. Having Optimus be one of 13 Primes made him feel like chosen one main character of universe, breaking his orign story, whole point of matrix of leadership, and undermining anything he did before hand, it is like having character who had good motivation, good story and drama in past be after all of that revealed to be some chosen one, it undermines it all, I guess matrix of leadership is now only fancy nightlight and saying about lighting up our darkest hour is literal, as who bears it has now no meaning, therefore story of leaders of Cybertron is also unvalid, when they would make better history figures, as we had a lot of them established, but now they seem like bunch of random background character as their importance have been thrown out of the window, which is sad as passing the torch was interesting for me, and have it be set in stone was just a bad move, like I get no one at Hasbro likes Rodimus, but it was unfair for his character, so was for Sentinel, Basically matrix bearers are just a joke now There have been discussion about how we cannot describe what is like to be human, as we haven't experience how it is like NOT to be one, in the same way bat cannot describe what it is like to be a bat, as he doesn't know anything else, creators 13 Primes, the pantheon copy wasn't aware of this concept, some of Primes well like you asked a random person on street question "if transformers belived in Gods, what Gods would that be?" As some of them feel so much like that, origin that Primus copied Unicron's ability to transform was natural, having transformers have ancient being responsible for ability to transform and combine is well, possible answer to that question, I get that they needed to have origin for enigma of combination, but when you think about it, in this case ot Primus also can be answer: sparks unite with his spark in afterlife, UNITE, it is in the quote "till all are one" linking combiners to this not only ascends the concept and Enigma itself could be some part of Primus, therefore having some unique properties, but doesn't need obviously retroactively added first combiner who doesn't make sense when debuting the concept, what ability is that to be made of multiple pieces, it is always about separate beings uniting together, best retroactive additions to lore are those who doesn't feel like author was suddenly forced to justify previously established concept, but as natural explanation. Plus Primes mess up continuity of creation myths, being some step between Primus and modern Cybertronians, that isn't that clear when you consider everything so far, I swear matrix of leadership has to have meaning, it is to big of a history element for what it has been shown as useless bit to what is basically a chosen one story, even if this means having Primes with fake matrixes like energon matrixes from Japanese Beast Wars shows, which justified tons of Convoys along the line (please to whomever looks at my comments and decides to write about it, do not make them false prophets, every Transformers media seems to hate on every other leaders and have them become villains or other fakers, have them be something more, like people who wanted to take title of Prime unite a nation or try to be symbol of hope for revolution, make other leaders of Cybertron matter, or make it like in said shows with Prime becoming more of rank as time goes on and matrix gets replicated, as kinda of development, to show changes between eras) 13 Primes as concept doesn't feel out there

Making Prime one of the 13 was so Infuriating. Seriously he can't just be a great leader, he can't just be the best leader, he has to be Jesus. I think you are trying to wrangle things that were never meant to go together into one continuity. Alot of this stuff is just something particular writers had personal hang ups about and shoved in because they wanted to see it, and didn't think about how it clashes withe the established continuity. But you clearly have put a ton to thought to it and it's philosophical aspects. I don't agree that there should be an Enigma of combination, that's stupid. Why does machines combining need a religious artifact to control that. It's dumb. I think if the Cybertronians had Gods, they'd be likes Sparks, not having actual bodies.

@@PerspectiveEnd it is also really deterministic, as it undermines whether all his past and seeing rise and fall of decepticons and his former friend could not even matter as he was to become a Prime anyway, also idea of combiners created by other Cybertronians makes sense, but idea that concept was started by something other than mad experiments is good, as it not only justifies why someone had come up with that, but also whole process of merging consciousness, with both concepts could coexist in the same way there are multiple ways for transformers to be created, it could also justify combiners where minds of its component are not merged

These shows had so many flaws. What I mainly hated was how combiners were handled. Combiners are my favorite part of the transformers franchise, mainly they are freaking awesome. Over all, I agree with whats you saying here.... Mostly 1 the thing with combiners you sayed aka " they decombine just to look less treathing" as with anything, Im gonna say this"there is no suth thing as a bad ideas, only bad executions of those ideas" bad we can agree that at the end of the day, this shows wherw anything but good execution of those ideas . 2 I can understand your disstaste for the way how Japane handle transformers characters, but if anything, Overlord from this show was going more with IDW Last stand of the wreckers aka. The reason why Megatronus was colleckting artifacts was to get SOLUS back, even if that ment to kill every single living transformer ever. He had 2 of 3 artifacts needed to do so, so Megatron went with others to make shure this doesn t happen. Unfortunetly Overlord was hunting for him, but he didn t known where to look for him, so we went "asking" for direction, and since he is a psyopath what would you expekt? And as there "Victims" I guessing there where trying to "Tie in loose ends" by killing everyone not used in the story, is it LAZY as RUSTED SCRAP? Yes, but what eals should be expekting at this point, especially with that fakt that they forgot about Starscream Ghoust unthill the end of the series, so, there is that. 4.I can understand you don t liking idea of 13 Primes, but unfortunetly for you, you are probadly in the minority in that case.(not saying you in the wrong for dissliking them, but saying not that many people at least from what I had seen don t have that big of a problem with them.) I feel like the idea of singular individuals breaking down to multiple weaker individuals just doesn't really have much use. A bunch of weaker individuals combining for something greater, has so much cache on it's own it's incredible. My point with Overlord and the Japanese is not that he acts like he's from the Japanese serries, but that he's powerful like the Japanese serries. The Japanese tend to make all their characters over powered, Overlord when he was imported remained over powered. Lastly I don't know that I'm as outnumbered as people seem to think. I've seen other youtubers, and threads on places like reddit where people hate on and agree that they don't like the 13 primes.

Sometimes there are things or jobs that robots in there size just can t do.... Think of it like with Transformers from GIAGANTION from TF Cybertron where there gimic was there that big, that they needed help of minicons to do some jobs, considoring sometimes they where just TOO BIG TO DO IT. 2 Power core combiners done right ( and what I mean is one regular transformer using drones to created an combiner size power up. And that "done right" part was about the fakt that, if anything, official power core combiner figures had TERRIBULL arms and legs.) And as for reason why... You reasoning how combiners should work isn t bad, but sometimes your teamates are just going to be worse them Bollocks. Ex STUNTICONS where you have an hothead with Superiority Complex, an bloodboiling Jackass, a A- hole of a teamleader, the 5 wheel of a paranoic, and "depresion" in robot form.In short, Good luck keeping that train wreck undercontroll. As for Overlord and Sixshot, I can agree that in anime they where overpowered(especially with the whole SIXSHOT IS A NINJIA thing, like SYRIESLY JAPAN?) , but to be fair Sixshot was supoustu be a one bot army(and if anything he don t waste time like one in headmasters) , and as for Overlord, well he is an bot made from a big Tank, and even bigger Jet soooo.... Whats the problem? (Also since we are on the topic, whats your thought on DUOCONS like transformers Batteltrap , Flywheels/Skytread transformations? I actually really like IDW Star Saber. The re-imagining they gave him actually made him really interesting to me, and a OP bad guy is a lot more interesting than an OP good guy, so long as the good guys don't have to become OP to beat the bad guy.

It's no problem I try to respond to all my comments, and I get enough of them that that can be a slow process. I actually liked the way they killed him, with Cyclonus outsmarting him. Cause Cyclonus couldn't have won normally, and he didn't want help because he was honor bound to kill him, him self. A bad guy who's stronger than the good guy but the good guy still finds a way to win, is just a good story in my book.

No. I LOATHE him. I theorize he's why I really don't like Last Stand of the Wreckers. Everyone always talks about how that's the BEST TRANSFORMERS COMIC EVAR!!! and I'd rate it in like the bottom 40% of what IDW put out. And I think it might be because I hate Overlord in it so much. I hate him so much I don't want to see him die, I want him to have never existed in the comic in the first place.

Honestly, I thought “Titans Return” was the worst of the three, due to basically nothing happening, but given how they all suck, it doesn’t matter which is the worst. I didn’t mind Overlord as his strength can easily be justified as “literally being made of sterner stuff” and his ramblings about the previous season while the Mistress of Flames fails to hurt him was funny to me. Megatron was easily the best part and I’m almost convinced the writers hate that people liked him, given they just randomly kill him off at the end. Also I disagree about “No one cares about the primes” but the only ones I really liked were Dreamwave Fallen, Vector Prime, FunPub Nexus Prime and IDW Onyx/Shockwave.

I think the reason the framerate is so bad is not because its 14 fps since 10 fps looks good for certain animations(stopmotion) but its because they decided to like animate at 24 fps than cut out the 10 frames, this would keep the keyframes but make the frames in-between have no connection resulting any choppy animation, it looks like titans return just has the same problem but the animators decided that only one movement happens at a time resulting in prime just floating until the fallen(WHY THIS DESIGN IT ALMOST SUCKS MORE THAN BAYS TAKE ON IT) moves his hand down also Japanese characters made souly by takara (this means I exclude the unicron trilogy) are trash and I agree with you, I mean like some underdeveloped characters brought to gen selects are fine but takara transformers are not robot mechs that are similar to those dudes you see blow planets up in the animes (at least thats my guess I havent seen anime and don't want to) there alien robots that have a sense of humanity and are actually weak at some points.

Um… as someone who watched every TF show and actually likes the Japanese TF shows because they aren’t boring and let the franchise be an actual space opera (I am so sick of Earth that if we never returned to Earth I think it would be better for the franchise) and I can tell you - Overlord is nothing like his character in any other version and THE MISTRESS OF FLAME IS A BORING USELESS CHARACTER. To be honest, while the Japanese has some issues, I’d take the crazy energy and anime styles then the endless mediocre stories and ruining of continuity that happened with the Bayverse and the Aligned Continuity. Also yes, I Personally found the Prime show to be very boring and stuck with the main characters being one-dimensional and the interesting characters just done better elsewhere. The Prime Wars Trilogy was bad but I will never list it as the worst series. In fact to me both Beast Machines and Energon are worse because they had more fundamental story issues and weren’t made by a KZbin company that never really made any animations or a serious story before. I cut the series a little slack for the fact that these are amateurs and this was their first big project. Hasbro shouldn’t have given them free reign on the project so that’s Hasbro’s failure more then Machinima’s

That's not quite what I was getting at. It's just that the Japanese characters are all OP, it's not that they really kept his characterization between the serries. And Absolutely, Prime is a SNOOOOOOOOOZE, I don't quite get the love it gets, that show is so bland. And yeah, I don't get the people trying to "Re-evaluate" Beast Machines as good, no it's not. Not even on it's own, but especially not as a sequel to Beast Wars.

@@PerspectiveEnd I mean some are but series like Robot Masters point out that the US characters are just as strong (almost implying that Optimus and Primal are stronger then say Victory Saber or others) But yea Many of the JP shows just tend to have more strange scenarios and later shows (like Cybertron) explain most of that by the fact that Megatron and his powers (as well as Starscream) have what in series would be considered crazy abilities and those powers are connected to Unicron and Primus (both who are stated even to G1 to have crazy insane powers). Honestly some of the crazy abilities in G1 in my headcanon could be explained in similar ways. (Also we don’t include the BW abilities in there because those are explicitly explained as connected to Unicron) Yea I found Prime manageable until they messed with one of my favorite Artifacts - The Omega Lock and Cyber Planet Keys. It really turned me against the show and they never really won me back. Also the “Dark Star Saber” annoyed me because it made a retcon of the Armada Dark Saber. Also the need to remake the Thirteen and make Optimus Prime one of the Thirteen was aggravating to say the least. Yea for me - Energon is the worst, then Beast Machines then Combiner Wars, PotP, Titans Return, Bayformers. (Although ROTF is actually much lower on my list because Michael Bay is one of the reasons why The Fallen and the Thirteen got ruined.)

Those are all fresh in my head, prime and the Autobots just kind of greyed out for me over time, Except for Jazz, played by the ever over worked Phil Lamar.

That was just the first clip I found, there are others, and only had time to show a few and that one illustrated the point the most clearly so people wouldn't be confused as to weather or not I was serious. Correction - You don’t like the Thirteen. A lot of people want to see some good stories with the Thirteen. War Within and Cybertron gave us good and interesting stories with the Thirteen - ROTF, the Aligned trash and POTP don’t give us good stories. I don’t want to see another retelling of Optimus Prime and Megatron’s fight - I want to see more aspects of the Transformers universe and Mythos that the shows refuse to give me. Optimus hasn’t been an interesting Character since Cybertron or Animated and I don’t want to see almost any G1 characters. I want new interesting characters. If you want to use G1 names sure, but stop making the same characters. Most are one-note and boring. G1 got away with that because they had to make personalities for 100+ characters in less then a month. Do something better. Also all that weird energy stuff got introduced with Unicron and the Marvel comics that wasn’t completely a Japanese concept

But at the same time they were just very powerful not demigods the dumb lovers quarrel that started from the Aligned Continuity. What Simon Furgman originally wrote about the Thirteen seems to be where most people I talk to wanted the Thirteen to go

Maybe you’d see Liege Maximo in a storyline where the Cybertronian Empire showed up, or the Fallen is mentioned as his traitorous story of betraying Cybertron to Unicron. Over time I would let them be major parts of their own stories with an idea that eventually it would build to a story explaining what happened in prehistory or having a story where the Thirteen are trying to stop Unicron and the Fallen from destroying Primus’ spark on Cybertron. That and I would use them to combine various concepts like one that I have theorized - That Vector Sigma actually houses the Omega Lock and the Key of Vector Sigma is actually a transformed Cyber Planet Key (something that has been seen before). But I would keep the idea that the Thirteen are powerful but not demigods and don’t like the idea of being worshipped.

The idea of them being essentially the prototypes of all other Transformer types. Also to me, I would keep the “deaths” in the war between Primus and Unicron to mostly Prima, Solus and maybe a few others. Logos Prime would be apart of the Thirteen again (because I think the character was interesting vs some of the other ones… like Optimus shouldn’t be apart of the Thirteen.) I can imagine that they might eventually lead some tribes although I would keep some concepts like that Leige Maximo only brings in some bots to his faction (which G2 confirmed is the Cybertronian Empire) Megatronus/The Fallen probably wouldn’t have a Tribe or if he did, they would probably be like the Chaos Tribunal in WW, more of worshipers of Unicron that claim the Fallen as their leader even if he might have nothing to actually do with them. I feel like the biggest ideas I’ve had for any of the Thirteen would have been A) having a version of Soundblaster being Logos Prime with amnesia or just a new personality trying to deal with the fact that Logos went insane. And having The Fallen and Leige Maximo play major roles in a story where Unicron has gathered 13 Heralds to reverse the effects of The Shroud on himself so he can consume the Multiverse without Primus being able to stop him. Mostly I would do that to let each of the Thirteen develop as characters without the others around so we can learn about them while getting pieces of the prehistory.

@@basedpota Yes because the other thing is that it usually strips The Fallen of his connections to Unicron and tries to connect him to the ROTF Fallen where he has some connection to the creation of the Decepticons which was a trash idea.

I was cool with vector prime before he was a god, truth be told to me the 13 Prime's are just there, not really imortant, with the excption of Alpha Trion, Vector Prime, and Megatronus, i couldn't care less about the others

See Megatronus is the one I hate the most, because it takes away from Megatron. It makes him self less of an ego maniac and more of a psychopath, considering he apparently named him self after their equivalent of SATAN, and it's especially galling when he's Megatrounus's subordinate. That just turns him into a groveling whelp.

Maybe I'm just numb to the power levels after animated's processor over matter, Idw optimus' just not dying unless you throw him into a black hole and even then it's a toss up, animated Megatron surviving the allspark blowing up in his face and then a Lugnut-Supreme also blowing up in his face. And it just keeps going power levels have ALWAYS been screwy without dipping into Japanese characters.

Tbh, the models for the show actually arent that bad. Also, Mark hamill got wasted here. (Final thing: 13 primes suck, but vector, alchemist (macaddam) and fallen are good in other universes imo)
