The Transformers:War for Cybertron trilogy toyline is already one of my favourite lines in the franchise, with Siege giving us accurate character looks as well as their vehicles when they were on Cybertron and Earthrise now giving even better looks for each of the characters in the toyline currently.

They did an excellent job with Hoist here, even if you can see his arms and fists underneath the truck mode, he's nearly perfect, this beats the Generations Hoist way out of the water for sure, even if it is a good figure itself, and we're getting Hoist's friend Grapple, these 2 always hung out together, like Inferno and Red Alert, thanks for the great review, Paul!

If I had to guess on the hand/gun coloring it's because more than likely Trailbreaker will have a chrome/gray variant and they wanted to keep them different. Also like you said the orange breaks up the arm color.

Sure the Siege line was solid, but for a toy line/story that’s supposed to take place on Cybertron, the designs sure are Earth-y and G1-y. Looking at Siege Sideswipe, they hardly mixed it up. The robot mode is a miniature version of the Masterpiece and the vehicle mode is just a Lamborghini with vents on the back. Sorry to rant. I just find it baffling that Hasbro has a 35 year old franchise in the palm of their hands that is rich with universes, continuities, settings, characters, and character designs, and all they choose to do with it is rehash a 35 year old cartoon.

Nice figure and as always nice review. As far as the Autobot logo on the truck hood, yours has to be a paint defect. Mine has a full Autobot insignia.

Honestly I don’t mind Hasbro using the G1 designs, but when it gets to the point where the Generations line stops making figures like Armada Starscream and Rhinox I think it really becomes a problem. Because there are non G1 characters that need an update. Which is why I was so excited about the WFC Hot Shot, idk I think staying true to the G1 look is important but not at the expense of other designs for these characters.

You're confused when you are talking about the pricing. They made Hoist bigger than Cliffjumper because that is to scale and how it's supposed to be. You're trying to put it off as something like "well they made this figure smaller so they could make this one bigger"

I predict that the third and final instalment in the War for Cybertron toy line will be based on the 3rd/4th seasons of Transformers G1 being called something like ‘Aftermath’ or ‘Regeneration’. It would most likely follow the same gimmick as Siege and Earthrise has done, also having the character’s looks accurate to how they looked in the series like what the other two has done. Most likely Hasbro will also release a Transformers selects line for this line of toys for fan favourite characters just like the other two lines have done, Overall this is just my opinion and we Hasbro are still early on in Earthrise so it looks like that we might not get news on a new toyline until San Diego Comic con 2021 or New York Comic con 2021, so at the moment we can enjoy Earthrise and for what’s to come for it.

I picked up two of these. It looks really close to the G1 version. I made them even better with Nonnef upgrades. That Autobot symbol is scraped. it's not suppose to look like that.
