It was so fun seeing you and Judy! I miss seeing your creative works. I have a panic attach even thinking about doing anything live, ( I never go live because of it) but this kind of project I have no stress. If the project is a complete disaster I do not share it, or I show how I fixed something. Sewing is so forgiven because you can either rip it out or patch over it LOL..Have a great winter-stop again next summer:)

I really like how the strips of brown fabric also look like hair. I have never used the product you used to stick the fabric strips. Is it similar to heat and bond lite? What is the difference?Some sticky tape for fabric reviews state that it will gum up the sewing machine but I noticed that you did use free motion sewing. I am looking for sewable 1/4” sticky tape. Hi, The Steam-a-Seam 2 is a paper backed adhesive similar to Heat-n-Bond Lite but has it's differences. The adhesive is between 2 pieces of paper. One of the papers is very similar to parchment paper. The adhesive side is also tacky unlike Heat n Bond. I peel the parchment paper away, and iron the other to the back of the fabric, once cool you can remove the 2nd paper and the fabric now has a tacky glue on the back. This is great because you can reposition the piece. Once it is ironed onto the project, it has a nice feel and doesn't feel as stiff like heat-n-bond sometimes does. The downside is it does gum the needle more that Heat-n-Bond. I clean my needle with rubbing alcohol if it starts to gum. Another negative is it is more pricey than Heat-n-Bond. I find that I use Heat-n-Bond more but the Steam-a-Seam 2 is great for collage quilting or anything that you want build a design. Hope this helps and is not too confusing LOL I believe the steam-a-seam brand has a 1/4" sticky tape but I have never used it. Julia

Hello, thank you for your video this is really a great idea. I do have a question, I used this product and when I sewed it down my needle kept getting full of the glue of the steam a seam. I kept having to take the needle out and clean it with rubbing alcohol. Also, replaced the needle three times. Have you experienced this?

Hi, If you are having trouble with gumming, fuse again with steam. The reposition-able temporary adhesive is water soluble and must be dissipated to prevent gumming. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching, Julia
