This is adorable. I do not have a free arm on my Janome Continental! I don’t see how I could accomplish this, darn!
@stitchesbyjulia19 күн бұрын
Hi, This unfortunately must be done on an open arm. It can be accomplished by opening the side of your jeans and resewing after the stitching but this gets a bit tricky. I too have a flat bed only machine, my Juki, I love it for other sewing. Thanks for watching, Julia

I have that foot that came with my Janome- so is the setting the zig zag to use for buttons?
@stitchesbyjuliaАй бұрын
Hi, I do have a button sewing setting on my Janome. If you do not, I would use the zig-zag setting, drop the feed dogs and have the stitch length to 0. I hope you give it a try, It is a quick way to sew on buttons.

You use paper glue ? waw... I didn't think to use it. I am afraid it hardens fabric. Nice creation 🙂
@stitchesbyjulia19 күн бұрын
Hi, I use glue stick and white school glue lots for stitching down patches, trim etc before heading to the sewing machine. May sure it is dry before stitching, I usually press with my iron to speed up the drying. Also, most of the school glues will completely wash out if you find that they stiffen the fabric. Thanks for watching, Julia
